The Curt # 56083 is confirmed to fit the 2016 Lexus RX 450h but unfortunately not the 2017. For your 2017 you'll need Curt # C59236. This harness has a powered converter that connects to the battery to protect your vehicle's wiring. It installs using quick-splice connectors. I've attached an install video on a BMW that you can look at. The install process will be fairly similar even though it's a different vehicle.

If you don't already have a trailer hitch, the Curt # C13282 is a fit for your Lexus. This hitch receiver is a Class III with a 2 inch receiver. For an adjustable ball mount the B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10035B will give you 3 inches of drop or 3-1/2 inches of rise. The Tow & Stow also has the feature to flip under the hitch and out of the way without removing it from the hitch. To secure it to your Lexus you can use the # BX8858 locking hitch pin.
