Even if you need to transport only 2 bikes you might want to consider using a 3-bike rack since this will provide more space for the two bikes (helping to prevent them from bumping together) and make loading a bit easier. Do note that a rear wiper cannot be used with any trunk rack installed. If you have a rear wiper and you plan to keep the rack in place on the car for extended periods, you might want to pull the fuse for the rear wiper to prevent accidentally turning it on.
