Lightweight 2 Bike Carrier That Is Easy To Install And Use Without A Second Set Of Hands

Updated 08/15/2025 | Published 07/18/2025

Question:

I’m 5 foot 4 and sometimes struggle with lifting heavy racks lol. Will I be able to use this on my own? My old Thule worked really well! But it weighed a lot and was big platform style

Absolutely, Val, and I understand where you're coming from. Luckily, the Thule Outpace 2 bike rack # TH39SA was made with apartment dwellers and city riders in mind. It’s just under 30 lbs and folds up into a compact suitcase-style shape, so it’s easy to carry and even easier to store.

If you can lift a carry-on bag, you’ll do just fine with the Outpace! It's literally the same size and weight.

Out of curiosity, what is the model of your old Thule? I'm curious if it's still available or if it's an old outdated model.
