Question:
I recently purchased part #DL20119 for my boat trailer and the hooks are too small to fully hook to the hitch and latch. What do you suggest to handle this two 1/2inch threaded quick links fastened to the truck to clip to? Also I have two other trailers with safety chains I need to address the same problem. Please let me know all clevis hooks with latch with removable pin to hook to my chain that you know will fully hook and latch to my truck hitch as is. Ill choose the proper GTW rating for each trailer and make sure the pin will fit through my chain link. Thanks

I have come across this issue before. What I recommended was to loop safety cables # RM-910648-12 through the hitch safety chain holes and hook the safety chains to the loops. The cables are rated for 8,000 pounds which is the highest for these short cables. There doesn't seem to be any hooks that will fit directly to the factory Class V hitch on your Chevy 3500.
