Great product, even better than the original! The rotating valve solved my alignment worries and makes it easier to open in that position. The original Valterra valve lasted more than 30 years, until I broke it. Love the DIY info and tutorials.

The Parts I received matched up nearly perfect with the existing plumbing, that was ripper off when the inner duel blew out and took out all the piping along with the dump valves.

If you can DIY, etrailer is often the place that is priced most competitively of the pages of results that return on an [online] search but you go ahead and search the pages of results for confirmation. I got it when promised. It is for all practical purposes exactly like the one that I broke. Unfortunately I had to pay for fast shipping as a planned trip had to be delayed 5 days including 24hr leak test.[the dealer] did such a horrible install I used the time to gather parts to replace all of it and it seems more sturdy than the original. Something else very important when considering price, I had communication from etrailer each stage of the process that gets stuff to our door's. Thank you all so much and cheers to your continued success.

Broke the old one on a rough non paved trailer truck turn around at a truck stop. Fortunately the tank was empty before the accident.

After the initial horror of completely destroying my old dump valves, I shortly realized this was a thing and ready replacements were available. The biggest time sink was waiting for the blackwater tank to dry out and the only trick was getting a ABS pipe saw blade to cut the old gray and black water lines from the inside ($5 from any decent hardware store). The setting and gluing project was straightforward and the valves have been working perfectly since then - even better than the originals.

Will Valterra Double RV Waste Valves Fit 2012 Freedom Express Travel Trailer
Hi Tanya; since we don't have a way of knowing what drains/valves are on your 2012 Freedom Express Travel Trailer you will have to measure. The # T38 fits 3" RV black-water drains and 1-1/2" gray-water drains. If that is what you have then it will work for you. Need Sewer Valve For 2003 Wilderness Trailer
Hello Kevin, thanks for reaching out. I can definitely point you in the right direction, but sewer valves are not custom fit, so there is no way to look up your trailer to know exactly what valve you need. Standard waste valves are a 3" diameter. If you are needing just a standard valve the # T50A is what I recommend. Comparing the Valterra Sewer Wye Part T38 and Part TR38
The Double RV Waste Valves part # T38 has rotating valves on both the black water 3" hub outlet and the grey water 1-1/2" hub outlet whereas the Double RV Waste Valves part # TR38 only has a rotating valve on the grey water 1-1/2" hub outlet.

Dual waste valves, such as the Valterra # TR38A, are nearly generic by nature. This one has the standard 1-1/2" gray water gate and standard 3" gate, and has a "Y" shape. You should also look at the Bristol # 34466ND13AAR Double Waste Valve that has more of a "T" shape, or the Valterra # T38. Compare what you have on your Freedom Express to these and one should be a match. Many of these connections will have been factory installed with solvent cement an will have to be cut off. Is Sealant Required When Installing Valterra Fixed Y Double Valve
You need to use a sealant like our Valterra ABS Solvent Cement # A05-0303 to seal the connections when installing the # T38. Without doing that you most likely would get leaks. You current setup will be glued too so it would require you to break it loose.

Valterra Double RV Waste Valve Inner Diameter Dimensions
For the Double RV Waste Valves - Sewer Wye - 3" Fixed Hub and 1-1/2" Rotating Hub # T38 the internal dimension of the black tank hub is 3.5" to allow for a 3" pipe to slide into it and the internal dimension of the gray water tank hub is 1-15/16" to allow for a 1-1/2" pipe to slide into. The bayonet end that has you would hook up a drain pipe to has a 3" inner diameter. To attach these hubs to their respective pipes you'll need some Valterra ABS Solvent Cement # A05-0303 as well.

I may have another option but there is not an adapter to replace your screw in cap. Your best bet to be able to empty your gray water tank with a bayonet type hose would be to use a waste valve like the Double RV Waste Valves - Sewer Wye - 3" Fixed Hub and 1-1/2" Rotating Hub # T38 which will allow you to have your gray and black water drain from the same bayonet hose when you are at a full service camp site. This will require you to remove your old waste valves and will require Solvent...

Is Glue Used to Install the Valterra Fixed Y Double Valve T38
You will need to use a glue to attach the part # T38. The part is ABS plastic, so you could use an ABS sealant or glue. The glue is not included though. Part number # 0160297 will seal plastic parts and would work well for you.

We do not have an adapter that is threaded on the inside to work with the sewer hose outlet that is threaded on the outside on your trailer. But what you could do is replace what you have with something like Double RV Waste Valves - Wye - 3" Fixed Hub and 1-1/2" Rotating Hub to 3" Lug Item # T38 in order to replace both the black and gray water valves.

Yes, you could just simply swap out to the Double RV Waste Valves - Sewer Wye - 3" Fixed Hub and 1-1/2" Rotating Hub # T38. You will probably find it is put together with some ABS solvent cement # A05-0303 which will require you to cut the old pipes. I recommend keeping the cut as close to the valve connection as possible and then you won't have to add on additional pipes to add length.
