Just want to confirm the Blue Ox BX1712 is the base plate I need for a 94 GMC 2500, thanks.

Blue Ox base plates # BX1712 do fit your 3/4-ton 2500 series. They also fit the 1500 and 3500.
If you refer to the linked diagram you will see the frame measurement you can take (on the passenger side outside frame surface) to see whether you can use Roadmaster kit # 131-8 (if the dimension is 3-inches) or kit # 131-3 (if the dimension is 1-1/4-inches).
