Can Fuse Tap part # F2526 be Used on 20 amp Circuit
Updated 09/26/2016 | Published 09/25/2016 >
Question:
Noticed that the wire AWG is a bit thin. Whats the highest amperage fuse that can be used with this fuse tap kit? Is it 10 amps? I didnt see that information in any of the QandAs, but I do see that the photo only shows two-10 amps fuses installed to this part. If 10 amp is the max., and Im using it just to power a Battery Isolator solenoid, is this independent of the 30 amps load that will be drawing coming from my camper via a 7-way adapter? Im using a 30 amp Circuit Breaker inline with this setup before the solenoid. So, 12v + battery to CB, then from CB to solenoid-in, then out from solenoid to accessory, and then from Ignition Power connection on solenoid to fuse box via this tap kit, and solenoid will be grounded. See photo attached as reference, but please note that this is preliminary. The CB is hooked-up, but Im still working with the remaining routing as mentioned above this is where your fuse tap comes in, but I need final confirmation on the usage of said fuse tap. Also, can I get away with using 20 amps on this fuse tap? See photo attached as reference, but please note that this is preliminary. The CB is hooked-up, but Im still working with the remaining routing as mentioned above this is where your fuse tap comes in, but I need final confirmation on the usage of said fuse tap. Thank you.

The Fuse tap part # F2526 that you referenced comes with a 10 amp, 20 amp, and a 30 amp fuse to use with it. Since all you need is a 20 amp rating this would work well for you.
