Hi. I have an 18foot car hauler with tandem 3500 axles. I want to upgrade the equalizer but cant seem to find one with the same dimensions as what I currently have. I wasnt sure how much tolerance was allowed when changing the size of the equalizer. Essentially, what is currently on the trailer is the same sizing as your TREQ310 equalizer. What are my options? Does Equa-flex make something this size or the Dexter EZ-Flex? Please let me know. Thanks.

To upgrade your existing # TREQ310 equalizers, you can use the Dexter E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # K71-652-00. While at rest, the upgraded equalizers have a center to center length of 5-5/8 inches, but with deflection can measure between 5-1/4 inches - 6-1/4 inches. While the resting length of the equalizer is shorter than your existing equalizer, the length difference is not great enough that the upgrade kit # K71-652-00 wouldn't fit.
This upgrade kit # K71-652-00 includes the equalizers, shackle bolts, and shackle links needed to replace both equalizers on your tandem axle trailer. I've attached an installation video of this system on a trailer for you. It appears that the equalizers replaced in the video are # TREQ310.
