Question:
I have a 2014 GMC Savana 2500 van. Do you have a part number for a wiring adapter for a Tekonsha P2 brake controller that will fit the factory installed tow pkg wiring under the dash? At least I think there is a plug-in that is for a brake controller. It is a tan rectangular shaped piece that looks like where the brake controller would plug in. It seems to be attached to a piece that appears to be for the 7 way wiring for the trailer. Thanks for any and all help.

The 2014 GMC Savana does not have a brake controller installation port under the dash, but certainly one of the other connectors under the dash could easily resemble one. A brake controller wiring adapter will have 4 prongs that carry 12V power for the controller, the ground connection, a brake light switch input signal and a 4th that carries the controller output to the trailer connector on a blue wire. Brake controller installation will be hard-wired in your van.
If your Savana has a factory-installed tow package with a 7-way at the back bumper then it will also have the blue output brake wire already ran from the back to the front. It is located under the dash near the emergency brake pedal. Installation of a quality brake controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 will require wiring kit # 5506 to connect the controller and its output to the 7-way.
If your truck has a round plug with a cap inside the driver's side frame rail instead of a bundle of wires in the jack storage compartment, instead use part # 30955.
As an alternative, you can forget about trying to use the existing wiring and simply do a complete new install using a 4-pole harness # 118392 (easy plug-in installation) and our controller install kit # ETBC7. Apart from the controller itself, these two parts have everything you need to do a complete hard-wired installation. You can see the entire install process by clicking on the linked video.
