Can the 2013 Honda Fit be Flat Towed Behind an RV and If Not How Can it be Towed

2013 Honda Fit Sport flat towing setup recommendation?

Honda no longer allows their vehicles to be flat towed. In one section of the current printing of the 2013 Fit owner's manual it covers emergency towing and has the following statement:
"Improper towing such as towing behind a motorhome or other motor vehicle can damage the transmission."
However, there is also a section on flat towing the vehicle where it says that you can flat tow it.
Based on this I would not recommend flat towing the vehicle because of the above contradiction. The Fit could instead be placed on a trailer or you could use a tow dolly such as # RM-2050-1.
