Product Code FV802250 - Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4inch x 14-1/4 I have a pop-up trailer and the roof is approximately 1.5inch thick. Are there any issues with cutting the garnish leg down to fit the roof thickness? I assume it is designed to do exactly that? Also, what is the material of the mounting flange? Please advise. Thank You.

The 5-inch garnish trim ring included with the plastic-construction Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent with 12V Fan # FV802250 certainly can be trimmed down to better fit your 1-1/2-inch thick trailer roof. A rotary cutting tool, like a Dremel tool, will work well, or you can use a fine-tooth hacksaw blade.
You may prefer to select an alternate garnish that is closer to your roof dimension. The linked page displays all 14-1/4 x 14-1/4 ceiling vent garnish rings. Part # VA0445-25 has a leg length of 1-1/8-inches and part # VA0445-26 has a length of 2-1/8-inches.
