Can Pontoon Boat Trailer Bunk Boards be Attached Directly to Trailer Frame at One End w/o a Bracket
Updated 06/28/2016 | Published 06/27/2016 >
Question:
Will this item work if I use a 2x6 bunk board attached in one location at the mounting hole location? If so should the 2x6 be centered on the hole or should it be closer to the bottom 2-1/2 connection point? I hope this makes sense ?

I understand. It took me a minute but after I went out and looked at a pontoon boat trailer we have outside it does make sense. So at one end of the bunk board you want to attach it directly to where a bracket such as # CE10052-32G normally would attach instead of using a bracket at that end.
You can do that provided that the final position of the bunk boards are lined up properly to cradle the pontoons on the boat. It seems like it might be off a little if you did it that way but at the same time the design of the boat and/or trailer might necessitate this type of installation. So if you have to do it that way then that's fine but otherwise I do recommend using brackets at both ends of the bunk boards.
