Question:

Hi, I am planning to get Part Number: 325-GH-306 to raise my hitch on my RV so I can pull my Bronco Raptor. I believe this will allow me to put a Nighthawk as towing bar and a bike rack at a higher point. I was also looking at the WS54CR lockable hitch pin. I assume this pin is suitable to be used in a set up for 10,000lbs. Is that a correct assumption? And I want 3 of these to replace what I have. Can they all be keyed the same if I get 3? Do you have other lockable hitch pins that can be keyed the same? Thanks, Marc

Hey Marc, yes the locking hitch pin part # WS54CR will work with the stacked Replacement Shank for Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount # 325-GH-306 you are interested in but since would prefer the hitch pin locks to be keyed alike a better option would be the # e98880 which you could have keyed alike and order as many as you want all keyed the same.

The Gen-Y does give you the ability to change the height of your hitch like you are looking for as well.

Jameson, What’s the meaning of the “weigh safe” name in the #WS54CR? Does the etrailer locking pin support 10,000 lbs? Thanks!

@Marc That's just a brand name, and yes the etrailer locking hitch pin would work fine towing 10k. The name is related to how the ball mount allows you to see exactly how much tongue weight you have so that you can be aware of that and stay "safe".
