Can ProSeries Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack, Side-Frame Mount Jack Be Used on a Travel Trailer

Question:

Not much discussion about using this jack on a travel trailer. It would appear that it would work fine in that application. Im I missing anything?

A side-frame mount jack like the Pro Series Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Jack # PS1400300303 could be used on a travel trailer, but there are some things you will want to take into consideration.

Typically, A-frame jacks are used on travel trailers to provide support at the centerline of the trailer. A side-mount jack will provide support at one side of the trailer. When possible, it is best to support the trailer at the center of the A-frame, rather than to one side or the other.

Another thing to consider is the weight capacity of a side-mount jack versus the capacity of an A-frame jack. Most A-frame jacks have higher weight capacities than side-mount jacks. It is important for the jack to have a high enough capacity for your trailer so the jack is not overloaded.

As long as the Pro Series # PS1400300303 jack you referenced has a high enough lift capacity and will offer enough support for your trailer you can certainly use it with a travel trailer.
