Add hydraulic lift to an A-frame work trailer with this 7K double-acting jack. It connects to an external HPU through #6 JIC ports, bolts to a 5" x 5" mounting pattern, and provides 20" of lift with a pivoting 7" foot.
If your A-frame trailer already has hydraulic power, or you are building a hydraulic setup from scratch, this jack lets the pump do the lifting instead of your shoulders. It provides 7,000 lbs of lifting and support capacity with 20" of powered movement for equipment, utility, commercial, construction, and dump trailers.
The cylinder is double acting, so hydraulic pressure powers both extension and retraction. At the ground, the 7" x 7" pivoting foot follows changes in the surface to maintain a broad contact point as the trailer moves.
This jack does not include its own pump. It connects to a separate double-acting hydraulic power unit through two 9/16-18 #6 SAE JIC 37-degree flare ports. The lower port extends the jack and is rated for up to 3,200 psi, while the upper port handles retraction at up to 1,500 psi.
Hydraulic hoses, fittings, power unit, and controls are not included, giving you the flexibility to build the plumbing around your trailer. If the same HPU also operates a dump hoist, use a hydraulic diverter to route flow between the jack and hoist.
There is no manual override built into the jack itself. If having a backup for electrical power loss is important, that capability needs to come from the hydraulic power unit and control setup you pair with it.
The jack uses a 5" x 5" mounting plate with three approximately 1/2" bolt holes. Mounting hardware is not included, so compare the plate and hole locations with your A-frame and choose hardware appropriate for the trailer structure.
The jack measures 27-1/2" retracted and 47-1/2" extended. Those dimensions, along with the mounting pattern, give you the key measurements to check before deciding where the jack will sit on your trailer.

Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the etrailer Hydraulic A-Frame Trailer Jack. Now this is a round tube design. It's a bolt-on to an A-frame capable trailer, and it's rated at 7,000 pounds capacity. So folks, this will let you lift without having to crank.
You're just simply gonna use your already pre-existing hydraulic power on your dump trailer or whatever trailer you're using that has that, and this will help then raise the tongue so you don't have to use a manual jack. And this does work with your existing setup. It simply bolts on and ties into the hydraulic pump again that you already have given you dependable lifting. And I'm gonna bring it up a little bit closer here. Now obviously, I don't have this bolted all the way down.
It's a nylon lock nut. So I just wanna put that on there. That is a seven by seven inch foot plate you're gonna get. And then of course, you have the A-frame bracket here that, one, protects the hydraulic line and it's a standard pattern that should fit all the trailers that use A-frames out there. And then of course, you got your caps here where your hydraulic hoses would attach to.
And then of course, everything here is sealed up. It's got a lot of oomph to it. It's very well made. It's a black powder coat finish, which means it's not gonna rust or corroded on you anytime soon. And it's a round tube, so it's gonna hold to repeated lifting on trailers, especially when you have multiple, multiple uses time and time again.
And again, this is great. 7,000 pound capacity for those lighter commercial trailers that you're gonna be lifting often. Again, maybe you have a dump trailer, but it doesn't have a hydraulic jack. This is gonna save you time and energy and frustration by being able to tap into what you already have on your trailer and then use it to lift something else. Retracted like it is now, it's about 27 and a half inches tall. It has 20 inches of extension, so it's gonna make it 47 and a half inches tall when it's extended. And again, that foot plate is seven by seven. One thing I like about this folks is that you could just simply bolt it on. You don't have to weld it, you don't have to be a fabricator or those kind of things. So it's a great DIY project you can do yourself at home. That's gonna wrap up our equipment together.
