i just installed towed vehicle lite kit # 56108 on my Chev Equinox. My question is when I install my even brake will i also need to istall a brake lite kit to.

There are a series of questions that have to be answered to know if your vehicle will need the brake light relay part # RM-88400. The first question we know the answer is yes since you are using the Roadmaster Even Brake part # RM-9400.

Are you using a supplemental braking system that depresses the brake pedal in your towed car?

No - You do not need a brake light relay.

Yes - You may need a brake light relay. Continue on to the next question.


Do the brake lights on your towed car illuminate while the engine is off?

No - You do not need a brake light relay.
