I need a wiring harness for my 2015 honda pilot my mechanic told me no aftermarket ones will work because they will short out my tail lights . Will the c56170 work for me and not cause any electrical problems Please advise Regards,

I can help you with a wiring harness for your 2015 Honda Pilot.
If you would like a 4way end the Curt # C56170 will work for your Honda Pilot, if you instead need a 7way for your trailer you will want the Tow Ready # 118265.
Your local mechanic was probably talking about installing a universal direct splice wiring harness like # C59496, but the two harnesses I mentioned above will plug directly into the vehicle's tow plug no splicing needed.
