Locating Wiring Connector On 2012 Honda Pilot On Driver's Side Rear Cargo Area
Updated 01/19/2015 | Published 01/17/2015 >
Question:
Is there an installation video? The instructions included are universal SUV instructions and not pilot specific. Also, the 2012 pilot video is slightly different. The access panels do not house the same components. I just want to be certain everything is installed correctly. See attached picture, no plug in the rear access panel. Thanks

The Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # C56170 is designed for your 2012 Honda Pilot if it is equipped with a factory tow package. If you do not have a tow package on your Pilot, this harness will not work for you.
If you do not have a factory tow package you will need part # 118558. This does use the same connector located behind the access panel on the driver's side in the rear cargo area. Many times it may be taped to another set of wires to keep it from rattling or hitting anything so you may have to pull the wiring that is tucked under the cargo liner. If you are still unable to locate the connector, you might check with your dealership and see if they can help locate it.
I have attached the installation instructions for both of these harnesses you can check out.
We make videos when we get the opportunity for installations. We have not had a chance to make a video of an installation for these harnesses yet.
