Question:

I have a 2015 tundra 1794 edition and I can not locate the plug that you say is by brake is this model different than the others. It has a tow package . Maybe I dont need the controller?

Check out the install video I attached that shows how to use the install harness # 3040-P on a very similar 2013 Toyota Tundra as yours. It will be right by the emergency brake pedal under the dash.

I attached a picture that shows it as well.

Sometimes you have to dig a little bit to find the brake controller install port on vehicles. From bumps in roads the harnesses can settle a bit behind other harnesses or be tucked behind other panels from the factory. Try looking one more time. If your truck does have the tow package with a factory 7-way it should be there. If not then you would need to start with a 4-way like part # HM11141835 and then use the # ETBC7 to convert it to a 7-way and install the brake controller.
