Recommended Replacement LED Lights For Trailer That Keeps Blowing Fuses

Question:
Is it possible to replace the 10 amp fuse with a 15 amp fuse? I think that the trailer Im using draws more than 10 amps when I push the brakes. It works fine with indicator lights and flashers, but when I push the brake I blow the fuse after about 1-2 seconds. It has 4 ST9RB lights, that I think draw 2.5 amps each under braking condition, then a few other lights that probably put me over the top. Will the 15 amp draw harm anything else in the wiring circuit?

The wires with the circuit you are using are not big enough to handle the draw you have so increasing the fuse is not recommended.
I recommend replacing the lights you have with LEDs. The replacement for the # ST9RB lights you have now would be part # STL9RB. These draw about 1/10 of the amperage draw the # ST9RB does. This would decrease the draw on your system and a larger fuse would not be needed.
Occasionally when LED lights are installed you will have what is called hyperflash, and the lights will flicker. If that does happen you can install a LED Light Bulb Load-Resistor Kit, part # DI34ZR, to each light socket that has an LED bulb and flashes.
