The only way to know for sure what a wire does on a vehicle is to test it with a circuit tester such as # PTW2993. This is because there is no standard for wire color and function and vehicle manufacturers use whatever color they have on hand. Testing the wires is the only way to know their functions. I have linked a video showing how the tester works.
