How to Install the Thule Replacement Strap 753-3535 for Hanging Bike Racks

Question:

How do you get the replacement straps on the Thule rack? Mine is the 4 bike rack that attaches to a trailer hitch. It looks like the strap must slide on tho the pole. Does that mean I have to remove the three before the one that needs replaced?

Installation of the T3 cradle replacement strap is pretty straight forward. You will need to remove the end cap from the end of the bike support arm, a Phillips screw typically holds the cap in place.

Next use a small amount of soap and water to help the cradles, # 853-5829, slide off easily. Once you have the cradles off installation is just the reverse, orient the strap, cradle and anti sway bracket, if needed, together and then slide them on to the correct position.
