I need a roughly 3 inch long pin to lock my coupler on Boatmate tandem axle. The description says it is only 2 inches but it looks about 4 inches well at least when Im looking :

We do have a locking hitch pin that may work very well for you.
I recommend the Trailer Coupler Lock, part # e98888. This is a 1/4 inch diameter pin that has a 3-3/8 inch span. This lock has a covered key slot that will help prevent corrosion. I have attached a product review video you can check out.
The pin on the Master Lock Coupler Lock, part # 2847DAT you referenced is 4 inches long but is designed to fit latches up to 2 inches wide. It would not work in the 3 inch span you said you need.
