Will Brophy Stake Pocket Mount Camper Tie Downs Fit a 1965 Chevy C-10 Pickup Truck

Question:
I have a 65 Chevy C-10 pickup that I am using to haul my slide-in camper. I am looking to buy the TDSF type brackets for holding the camper down. I measured the stakebed slots in the truck and this is what I got for a measurement. They are 1 7/8inch across down the length of the bed and 1 3/8inch to 1 7/16inch across the bed top with a depth of over 6. Now the 1 7/8inch measurement and the Depth of the stake pocket I know are good, but will it fit in the pocket after I remove the tabs. I havent seen a Minimum size for the tie-down so I wanted to check before I bought them, got them in, removed the tabs, and find out that they will not fit. Thanks for the help...Waiting on a reply so I can go ahead with the purchase.

Based on your measurements I do not see any issues with installing the Brophy tie downs, # TDSF on your 1965 Chevy C-10. The tabs, or spacers if we are talking about the same thing, do not have to be removed but can be. It is the tab at the top, side of each bracket and the bolts that go through those and through the bed side that hold the brackets to the bed. I have included a picture that is of the instructions for these tie downs for you.
