There does not appear to be enough mounting surface between the bottom of the door and the bottom of the wall surface. Id like to mount the 4-step model if possible

I have a solution for you, but the TorkLift # TLA7843 require much more mounting space than you've got available on your 2020 Palomino SS1240. Because of the limited mounting space under your door, you'll need to use something similar to the TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 4 Steps - 20" Wide # TLA7804-8000, which has a very narrow mounting bracket that is 1" tall x 20" long and will work well in the limited space you've got on your Palomino SS1240 camper.
I was able to confirm these as a fit with TorkLift.
