How to Install Spring Bars Using Bolt On Brackets for a Curt Weight Distribution System

Question:
with the battery tray in the way of the over the rail style brackets ive ordered the side bolt on style.Im unsure of how to attach the chains to them w tension as the brackets that came w my hitch you would pry up w the pry bar how do you get the correct tension with the bolt on side brackets?

When using the bolt brackets # C17005 you will have to use the trailer jack to lift both the trailer and the tow vehicle to be able to put the spring bar on or take them off. Since the bolt-on brackets do not have lift assembly like the normal brackets, this is the only way to install/remove the spring bars.
