Question:

2002 chevy 2500hd 4x4. Is there a better trans cooler than OEM that will retro fit without mods? I have a 6.0 gas engine. 4L80E trans

For the 4L80E transmission that is in your 2002 Chevy 2500HD Silverado we have supplemental transmission coolers that would work great in conjunction with the factory cooler or as a stand alone cooler if you are looking to bypass the factory cooler.

The best option I could recommend for you would be a stacked plate style cooler like the part # D13403. This is the most efficient style of transmission cooler on the market that would work great for you. You would want to install the cooler in front of the radiator and AC condenser to maximize airflow and cooling.
