Towing different trailers means every coupler sits at a slightly different height. This adjustable 2-ball mount lets you dial in the right setup each time. With a maximum drop of 7-1/4" and a rise of 7-1/2", the 4 mounting positions make it easy to line up your trailer level and tow smooth. The ball platform slides in the channel and locks down tight with the included pins and clips.

This mount is made for the heavy hauls. The solid steel shank, 5/16" thick channel, and welded 1/2" gusset plate give it the backbone to handle up to 12,000 lbs on the 2" ball and 30,000 lbs on the 2-5/16" ball. Each ball is welded to the platform for maximum strength, so you can tow big equipment or cargo trailers without worrying about flex or fatigue.

If you run different trailers, switching coupler sizes shouldn’t slow you down. The dual-ball platform has both a 2" and a 2-5/16" hitch ball built in. Just pull the pins, flip the platform, and resecure it. No tools or extra mounts needed—just simple setup changes that keep you on schedule.

Long trips and bad weather take their toll on towing gear. The matte black powder coat over a nickel and zinc undercoat fights corrosion from salt, moisture, and road grime. The CNC-chamfered shank slides smoothly into your receiver without sharp edges that could chip the finish, keeping this mount looking clean even after repeated use.

When you need more than a standard ball mount, this design works with accessories like the BulletProof clevis or weight distribution shank (sold separately). That flexibility means one mount can cover towing, recovery, or even give you an easy step up to your truck bed—all built around the same heavy-duty steel frame rated for real work.

Hi I'm Matt with etrailer. Today we're talking about the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount. The reason a lot of people invest in a ball mount system that has a rise or drop to it is so they can accommodate the trailers they are pulling because you want everything to be lined up. So to do that, this rise and drop allows you to lower or raise that ball mount. There are several rise and drop options for these extreme duty trailer ball mounts. You'll just want to go with the one that's gonna be the best fit for your truck and trailer combination.
Get the most level towing experience. Whether you choose to go with the one we have today or the one with the higher rise and drop, they both are gonna function the exact same way. So let's take a closer look at it. Starting with the balls up top, we're gonna have this 2-5/16th inch ball. That's gonna be capable of carrying up to 30,000 pounds, and the one on the bottom is gonna be a two inch ball capable of carrying up to 12,000 pounds.
They're both gonna have the same tongue weight though, and that's gonna be at 6,000 pounds. The system's also gonna include two pins and some safety clips on them, and they're gonna secure down this ball mount to the housing. (metal rattles) Now there is a little bit of rattling we still get from this, but I wouldn't worry about too much because we do have both these pins, which do feel pretty sturdy (pink clank) and they do a really good job holding this into place, especially getting the back in and secured. I'm not really struggling any, especially since we do have this thicker powder coat, which is kind of rough. It is pretty easy to use still.
Now you're only gonna get two of these pins, so you'll have to invest in getting a pin in clip for the hitch pin. What I actually recommend is investing in a locking system too, so no one can come by and take this right off. The system is gonna be constructed from a heat treated steel, so what that means is it's gonna be able to withstand really heavy weights, like I said earlier, up to 30,000 pounds. Now just make sure you know that your vehicle is rated to tow that amount of weight, and then we're gonna have this black powder coat finish to it, which is gonna help it be more rust resistant. But keep in mind, if you're constantly using this a lot, this does have the likelihood to scratch up some.
So if that finish comes off in any place, it is gonna raise a likelihood of rusting in those spots. You'll probably also notice when I've been kind of handling this, we do have a little bit of rattle back here (bar rattles) and that might not be a big thing for you if you're towing, but if you have this in the back of your vehicle just for the time being and nothing's on here, you might not be a big fan of that. So what I just recommend is just investing in an anti-rattle device to put on here so you don't have to deal with that. Now, if you want to save on some space, if this is sticking out just a little bit too long for you, you actually can put this in a different position by just removing this pin (pin clanks) and just push it in some and line it up with that second hole. Then this is gonna save you a little bit of space. (metal clanks) If you want, you can flip it around, do this like this, and then you're gonna get variations when you have it in the rise (metal clanks) just like that. Overall, I think it's gonna be a great system for anyone who plans on towing a lot of different size trailers, especially with how adjustable this is and how easy it is to maneuver and especially how well this is constructed. It's something that's gonna last you a long time because especially since it does have a nickel undercoat and a zinc top coat, that's also gonna assist with being corrosion resistant and adding additional strength to the entire system. This is just a look at some of the features of the BulletProof Hitches 2-Ball Mount. Thanks for stopping by.

Great hitch on my sons F150.
Very good quality for the price. It's perfect for what I need (a roughly 4.5in rise for a 3800lb trailer).
I am totally shocked by the weight and quality of the product. Not even one scratch on the finish. It shipped from Illinois to Dallas in only 3 days for free. Now I know why they are called BulletProof. Perfect for my lifted truck. I wished I had gotten this a long time ago!
Quality piece
I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.
etrailer shipped quickly, only in original box from Bulletproof, with no exterior shipping box, but box was completely taped, so package arrived in good shape.
1 minor complaint: no pin included for securing mount into receiver.
Works perfectly and customer service is top notch
Works great on my RAV4 with my 5 x14 utility trailer
Hitch mounted in the up position
So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.
I need a solution for my BMW SUV to tow my boat and trailer with two ball sizes and very different height requirements. This worked perfectly. The name Bulletproof fits well - I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and engineering.
Great hitch, and great experience with etrailer. The shipping was fast, and everything was packaged nicely. I even put the sticker on my truck window.
I have bulletproof hitches on all my vehicles. The quality is awesome and won't use anyone other than etrailer for my towing needs.
Very high-quality hitch! The shipping was FAST!
Fit truck and trailer better than expected. Pulls heavy trailer very well. That is why I bought locks to try and keep the hitch from being taken.
heavy duty that’s for sure. packaging was excellent and no chance of it getting damaged in transit. Its got some weight to it so that’s good.Powder coating is nice. Its definitely getting the job done.
Rust starting to show and coating has worn off. Rep suggested this drop length and it is definitely too much even with my 2500. Not a product flaw a customer service flaw
The product was delivered as promised and I have had the opportunity to try it. I'm very happy with it. Some reviewers complained about noise, so I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet my connection was especially compared with my previous hitch. I am very confident that will me meet my towing needs!
Not my first time dealing with Etrailer and definitely not my last. Easy ordering and on time every time. Hitch is built very well exactly what we needed to tow our skid steer around. Seems very solid compared to otehrs we looked at.
Thanks etrailer.
It is heavy buy a locking pin so you don’t have to take it off
You get what you pay for, and boy will you pay!
We ordered a hitch for our new truck. We ended up ordering the wrong hitch, we called for advice and etrailer was very helpful about the return and reorder of the correct hitch.
