Question:
What is your recommendation on a suspension upgrade for a 2019 Silverado ld old body style 1500 4 wheel drive. I am towing a 4000 lb travel trailer and have a fiberglass cap on the vehicle. Issue is that on frost heaves dips etc the truckbounces like a basketball. Also have a slight squatting issue. I have looked at Sumue helpers and the road tech ,in your expert opinion which or is anything better to rectify my issue? I travel the Alaska highway twice a year plus Alaska roads are third country type roads. Thanks

I recommend the RoadActive Suspension Kit # RAS54FR over the SumoSprings # SS45MR for your 2019 Silverado 1500 LD. The RAS is an active system so it is always providing the additional support to improve your ride. These will help keep you level while also eliminating axle wrap, wheel hop, and bottoming out. The kit will also improve your traction and prolong the life of your leaf springs, shocks, and tires.
I'm not entirely sure how bad these roads actually are but it is possible to use the # SS45MR with the # RAS54FR. Ultimately this might be the way to go so you have the RAS system enhancing your leaf springs and the SumoSprings to help absorb additional bumps and shocks. I would probably add the RAS kit and see how it rides and if you think you need additional support on top of it you could always add SumoSprings later on.
