Question:

Wanting to add the Hopkins HM56302 wire kit to my 2010 Honda fit sport. Need a longer then 3 feet 7-pole to 4-way flat umbilical cord. What would you recommend? I see the 8 foot night glow 7 pole to 4 pole, but I did not find a 4 pole to 4 way flat female? adaptor to attach to the 4 way flat male? adaptor on the HM56302 kit.

There's not an available 7-way to 4-pole flat umbilical like what you're looking for, but I do have some easy solutions for you.

The Hopkins Nite-Glow 7-way to 5-way flat coiled adapter, part # HM47025 will work with either a 4-pole or a 5-pole trailer connector. It would plug right into the connector at the front of the towed vehicle provided by the Hopkins Towed Vehicle Wiring Harness you referenced, part # HM56302. If the unused socket bothered you, you could cover it with a small piece of electrical tape.

Another option would be to cut off the 4-pole flat connector provided by the # HM56302, and install a 4 pin round connector like the one included with the 8 foot Hopkins # HM47044. Then, everything would fit together perfectly.

Either option would work just fine for you.
