With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 750-lb tongue weight, this Class III hitch gives you the muscle for light and moderate towing. Hook up a small camper, utility trailer, or boat, or use it for a bike rack or cargo carrier when you need more space. Pair it with a weight distribution system and the capacity jumps to 6,000 lbs GTW while maintaining 750 lbs TW, giving you more control and stability when hauling heavier loads. The 2" x 2" receiver works with most mounts and accessories you already have.
The concealed cross tube keeps the hitch tucked under the bumper so only the receiver shows. It looks like it belongs there instead of something bolted on as an afterthought. The matte black powder coat over a protective base coat gives it a rugged, carbide-like look that hides scuffs and blends in better than glossy finishes. It’s also corrosion-resistant, so road grime and weather won’t wear it down over time.

This hitch is built for home installers who prefer simple tools over shop equipment. It bolts right to the frame using the included hardware—no drilling or welding needed. The precision robotic welding ensures everything lines up with factory mounting points for a hassle-free fit that saves time in the driveway.
The fully welded steel body maximizes strength where it matters most. It’s ready for years of towing duty, bike trips, and road adventures without flex or rattle. Each hitch comes with a complete hardware kit and installation instructions plus lifetime technical support from etrailer’s towing experts whenever you need an extra hand figuring out setup or torque specs.

My installation was on a 2023 Telluride. Everything went to plan following the instructional video and included paperwork except for the passenger side, rear most outward facing bolt. There is about a 1/8 inch gap between the hitch and the frame of the car. I called etrailer, pressed 3, and talked with a representative who explained the steel of the hitch is intentionally somewhat mailable, and that the hitch probably got a little bent during shipping. He stated this was okay as long as the bolt and nut were torqued to spec, which they were (79 foot-pounds). The representative mentioned I could try to remove the hitch and bend this portion back into place with a few different techniques, but it was already on the car, he said it was safe, and I didn't feel like removing it. There were two items that were also different from the instructions. First, the plastic nuts on the panel covering the hitch electronics were not traditional nuts, but instead plastic nuts that push/pull on/off. Trying to rotate them off didn't do anything. Second, the measurements for cutting the bumper panel for the hitch, as others mentioned, were incorrect. 8.75" from each side and 3" up worked as someone else posted (thank you). You could go a little tighter if you wanted on the sides of the cut but not on the top, 3" almost touches. I'm going to check that questionable bolt after some towing, and if possible I'll update this review.
Works great!
Ordered and installed this hitch a year ago and it's great. Build quality is outstanding and installation is quick and easy. I recommend following the installation videos that can be found on this site. For our 2023 kia telluride I had to cut some trim off. It looks like it came from the factory.
Etrailer’s customer service is of the highest standard from booking my appointment and the satisfaction follow through after installation. I would highly recommend Etrailer to anyone who wants personal customer care, professional installation and the custom fit designed for my vehicle.
The hitch fits nicely. I had someone install it for me with no problems.the bumper did need a small cut.
Quality product and great installation video
The website ordering process and communication with staff was excellent. Looking forward to installing my hitch. But I do have one suggestion you may want to consider a another shipping option.
Installing the hitch was quick and easy. The only problem was the measurements provided in the instructions to cut the plastic panel were off by 3/4". Measure twice - cut once. Anyway it all worked out.
This was the 3rd eTrailer hitch receiver I've purchased. The fit and finish is great and the materials are heavy duty. It took me about 2.5 hours to install but I'm 72, don't have any air powered tools and worked alone in my garage. (Did i mention this sucker is heavy?)
I highly recommend this item.
Everything worked great and install was smooth.

The hitch for our Telluride is still working great! We just did a road trip a year later and it is holding my motorcycle trailer perfectly. Thank you!

Hitch installation went well. Good hitch. I just use it for a bike rack and it works well for that.

What kind of bike are you carrying, Alan?
Hitch arrived on time. Was installed with ease. Thank you!
Good quality, came with all nuts and bolts needed. It actually took longer to move somethings out of the way to be able to install it then it did actually installing the hitch.
The hitch receiver fit well and attached easily enough. Seems like a quality product and will test it out with an upcoming road trip out West.
Hitch is well made and installation was pretty straight forward. Only comment was packaging could be a little better. I had to do some paint touch up as it was worn down to bare metal in 2 areas. But overall a great product with perfect fit.
Fairly easy to install and looks great. Installed on 24 Telluride SX Xline
I like that it doesn't protrude pass the bumper.
Awesome. Everything was perfect. Installed it quite fast. The area around the exhaust pipe is very tight but in the end I could manage it.

So glad to hear that, Alan! What all did you do to get around the exhaust? Did you have to move them at all or just finagle the hitch around them?
The installation went exactly according to plan, and the final install looks great. I used a mechanic's creeper and some ramps, which was extremely helpful. The videos on the website were excellent, showing every little detail. I cut an extra hole in the bumper for a 7-way connector, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I personally haven't ever seen someone add the hole to the bumper for the 7-way...it looks so clean! Thanks for sharing the photos and your genius!
All looks good. For a 2025 Kia Telluride need to find a better solution to mount a 7 terminal rv connector to the vehicle.
Took a few hours to get installed (I’m a novice when it comes to auto work/repair), but all the parts and instructions were great. The YouTube video was very easy to follow. The build quality of the hardware seems excellent. Looks good when installed as well.
This is my second hitch from etrailer. The item shows up quick and looks great.

I agree, it does look great! High-five on the install, Aaron.
Very easy to install. Love the product. Saved about $1000 dollars over the dealer quote and very satisfied with my etrailer hitch. Highly recommended.

Yes! Love to hear that :) We are all about the DIY life! Looks like you did a great job on you '25 Kia Telluride.
I am not that mechanically gifted and I put this hitch on by myself. The videos online are pretty accurate. I drove the back of the car up on 4” solid cinderblocks and it was enough room to maneuver. Looks and fits great.

You are obviously more mechanically inclined than you give yourself credit for. Congrats on the successful install. Glad the videos were helpful and thanks for including the photo!
First off - this thing is a BRUTE! Nice thick metal construction, grade 8 hardware all around. Installation was pretty straightforward. Hit a few small hangups on the exhaust side - washers were getting hung up on heat shield. DEFINITELY make sure the threads are chased/clean on the welded nuts. I pre-fitted every bolt and drove them in all the way ahead of installation. Beyond those small hiccups it was relatively easy. Also - etrailer does a PHENOMENAL job with their packaging. This thing could have been dropped off the Empire State Building and been completely intact (ok, so a bit of exaggeration, but still). If you're gonna be towing with your Telluride - this is definitely one receiver to look into.

Glad to hear you're happy with the quality of the hitch to the packaging, Tom! Looks like you did great with the install, too :) What will you be using your hitch to tow?
Very straight forward installment. I was able to do it myself on the ground with very little effort. It would be much easier if on a lift for sure but it can be done without.
The video was very helpful on the steps to remove covers and how to drop the exhaust so I didn't spin my wheels figuring it out on my own.

Thanks for sharing! We're so glad to hear the installation went well and that the video helped make the process easier. It's great to know you were able to tackle it on the ground by yourself, even if a lift would make things a little easier.

The hitch works great. No issues at all.
