Purchased a 26 Silverado 2500HD to pull my 25 Winnebago Minnie travel trailer. The Cameras worked on my 15 Silverado 1500 but didn't on my new truck. I purchased the Inline PWM filter but it didn't fix the problem so I purchased the plugin adapter. After unpairing and repairing the 3 cameras on my Winnebago minnie, the cameras are all working properly now.

by:

It did not end up working for our trailer and 2019 Silverado. I can't remember if it just kept the trailer brake lights on the whole time or if they would not come on.

We switched to the more permanent solution, 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems - Hardwire, which has worked great.

We're glad to hear that the # VGR64VR worked well for you.

by:

Worked as described. Needed it to run lights on my truck to trailer hookup.

by:

My 2024 Wolf Creek 890 slide in truck camper came prewired and with the shark fin adapter attached. Unfortunately, the only way I could get the camera to connect to the 7” monitor was using the cigar lighter in my 2023 GMC 2500HD for both devices at the same time. It didn’t take very much research to find etrailer.com had the answer with the 7-way power adapter. Worked immediately just in time for our first trip pulling the boat with the camper on board.

Wow I'm so happy this was what you needed to get it working. The RV looks awesome! Where all have you traveled to this year?

by:

The adapter worked perfectly for our camera issues. No rewiring needed. A true plug and play. The delivery was fast and on time for our trip.we are extremely happy and thankful.

That's awesome to hear, Ralph! How was the trip? Where did you head off to?

by:

This adapter put in my toy hauler cable to truck connection solved a problem with the Furrion backup camera not working. The reason it did not work was that the newer HD GMC and Chevy trucks have a pulsed circuit on the parking lights. This resolve the pulsed circuit issue!

by:

Fixed problem with constant 12v power to the running lights. 2019 GMC Sierra.

by:

2019 Silverado not powering rear camera. My son’s 2034 Tahoe likewise won’t connect. However, my neighbor’s Dodge Ram connects. Frankly, I was skeptical, but desperate to find a solution that would allow me to see the rear camera feed. Shazam! It works. Don’t ask me how, but it bypasses whatever proprietary obstacles that GM vehicles have. I like the personal style of this vendor. Thx

by:

This was a very much delayed delivery...so much so that my camper is now winterized. Therefore, I won't be able to validate it's a good remedy on a road trip until next Spring.

I can say that plugging in the adapter while parked, it does keep a constant rear view now. Before the adapter, the screen cycled on and off and at times no picture at all. I believe this is a good simple fix and so I am looking forward to next season to use it.

by:

Adam was very helpful. Nice guy to work with. The 7 furrion pin adapter fix my camera issue.

by:

My RVs trailer brakes will not work with this connected, but it fixed my issues with my Furrion Vision S back up camera losing signal from my RV when hooked up to my 2024 GMC Canyon, but i will not use it, as having working breaks are more important that seeing what is behind me most of the time.

I agree, having brakes is definitely more important than the camera. That adapter shouldn't have caused that to happen, so it's possible there's an issue with it. Do you have access to a different truck that you could use to test the adapter with your trailer to see if the same thing happens? If not, no worries at all. Just let me know when you’re able to check, and we’ll go from there.

@GwendolynY No, I don't have another truck to test this with. All I know is when my travel trailer is connected directly to my truck (2025 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109s) with the 7pin everything works fine except the Furrion backup camera. When I first added this adapter, I got a "check trailing wiring" error from my truck, and it showed my trailer brake controller was not connected but the Furrion camera worked great. I played around with it and got the trailer brake controller to show connected, but the disconnected error came back before I got out of the parking lot, so I removed it. I have tried a few times to get it to work but every time I plug it in, I get the "check trailing wiring" error. So, I don’t feel like it is safe to use while towing.

@ChazzG I'm really sorry this adapter isn't working how it should be for you. Are you using a factory brake controller or an after market one. If aftermarket, what one do you have on your truck?

Ta-Da! After weeks of struggling to pair back up cameras on my “new to me” RV, the e-trailer folks led me to the solution!
If you have a newer model GMC or Chevrolet (I have a 2022 Silverado 2022), there is a voltage controller in my truck (who knew) that doesn’t give 12v to the trailer lights, so the adaptor gives me a full 12 v signal, problem solved!

by:

This adapter solved my issue with my Furrion S+ camera being powered by the marker lights driven by a 2024 Chevy 3500HD. It appears to be well made and time will tell on the durability.

by:

Plugged the adapter into the truck and the monitor produced camera images immediately. The adapter worked as advertised.

by:

Worked like a charm on my 2024 GMC 2500. It was the only way my camera was going to work! Great product!

by:

While picking up brand new travel trailer, we couldn't get the rear fusion camera to work. It looked like it had power, but camera would come up no signal. I did some research and found that Fusion has a connector that bypasses the electrical power shortage problem. I came to my one and only stop for trailer parts, ETRAILER. This was a simple remedy, it plugs into your 7 point truck harness, then you plug trailer into end of the adapter. This was 100% remedy for the problem. The camera works flawless again.... Quick shipping from ETRAILER got me up and running! Thanks!!!!

I just got this in and went out and tried it and it worked like a charm. It fixed my no signal issues I was having. Will see when I actual take it out on the road. I’ve got a 22 Silverado HD and was getting no signal with my new camera. Package arrived when it was supposed to and etrailer was great and kept me up to date.

I have a 2023 GMC 3500 and bought the furrion camera system. When I plugged it in, I had no signal and diagnosed that the GMC did not put out 12 V to the trailer running lights. I even took this into the GM dealer and they said that’s typical and normal. The furrion adapter plug solved my problems with just three days shipping now it all works.

  • Troubleshooting Non-Working Sidemarker Cameras Of A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System
2020 and newer GM trucks use pulse width modulation which won't send enough power to properly operate a Furrion RV camera system. To solve this Furrion came out with the # FR87PR which corrects the problem by looping over power from the 12v circuit to the running light circuit. ASA Electronics made the # VGR64VR and it just so happened to also solve the power issue by storing power and properly feeding the main camera 12 volts and fixing the signal issues. You would only need to use one...

  • Power Adapter For Pulse Width Modulation On 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 To Use Furrion Cameras
The Replacement Furrion Monitor Power Cable # C-FOS07TAPK-006 powers the monitor. I believe you are looking for the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR that eliminates the PWM issue that causes the Furrion Vision S # FOS05TASF cameras not to get the power they need on the trailer. We also have the 12V PWM Filter # VGR64VR that you can wire in line of the camera if you prefer not to have to carry an adapter.

  • Troubleshooting Signal Issues With A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System
If there's ever an issue with the signal on a Furrion camera system is almost always comes down to lack of power. Plugging in your # FOS43TASF to the monitor cable is giving you a direct 12 volts to the camera whereas when installed on the trailer the truck's 7-way isn't providing enough power to the running light circuit. If you have a newer truck with PWM wiring (like most 2020+ GM trucks) then your camera is getting pulsing power instead of a constant and can't form a connection to the...

  • Furrion Camera Not Getting Enough Power from Trailer Connector on 2019 Ford F250 to Operate
That is exactly what the adapter was designed to do. The Furrion # FR87PR is designed to provide the proper amount of voltage on the running lamp circuit of the 7-way so a camera system will receive enough power to operate reliably. Ford and GM 2019 models seem to have this issue. There's also now a more permanent solution, which is splicing in the PWM Filter # VGR64VR behind the camera to provide a steady current to the camera and clear up the signal issues.

  • Picking Between GM Trailer Wiring Adapters for Use with Furrion Vision S
So I really like the hardwire adapter solution part # VGR64VR since it's more permanent and allows you to use the Furrion Vision S # FOS07TASF with a newer GM truck. If you planned to power the turn signal cameras with the running light circuit you'd only need to use one of these adapters. But if you wanted to use the turn signals as trigger wires you'd need three of the adapters or the part # FR87PR.

This is the adapter that the video you mentioned was referencing.
