I received my order really quickly. Very impressed! My order was exactly what I wanted and needed.

by:

Worked well my backup camera works the way it should now

by:

Works very well. It’s nice to have my back up camera working.

by:

Worked as described. Needed it to run lights on my truck to trailer hookup.

by:

Item was correct. Super fast shipping. Customer service answered my questions and helped me find the right part.

by:

It did not end up working for our trailer and 2019 Silverado. I can't remember if it just kept the trailer brake lights on the whole time or if they would not come on.

We switched to the more permanent solution, 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems - Hardwire, which has worked great.

We're glad to hear that the # VGR64VR worked well for you.

by:

This cured furrion camera problem on my 2026 Chevy.

by:

This took care of the newer Chevy/GMC low voltage issue for rear view camera connection.

by:

Fixed my rear view camera issue

by:

I bought a new 2025 Silverado 2500 truck and could no longer get the backup camera to work. It would flicker on and off. Once I bought this connector, I can use all electronics and still have the backup camera work for the rv. Highly recommend this product!

by:

This was the exact piece to complete the puzzle for my Furrion cameras not connecting to my display on my 2019 GMC. As always, accurate description and on time shipping.

by:

This product works as advertised. Fixed the camera problem on my RV that Chevy created with their Trailer management system.

by:

Perfect! So glad we found this site and were able to get our backup camera working with the new truck!

by:

Purchased a 26 Silverado 2500HD to pull my 25 Winnebago Minnie travel trailer. The Cameras worked on my 15 Silverado 1500 but didn't on my new truck. I purchased the Inline PWM filter but it didn't fix the problem so I purchased the plugin adapter. After unpairing and repairing the 3 cameras on my Winnebago minnie, the cameras are all working properly now.

by:

It solved the issue of my backup and side cameras not working correctly

by:

I went from a 2003 truck to a 2024, same rig, and my wireless camera could not keep a connection. This adaptor fixed the power issue and it works perfectly. I am glad to get my camera back!

by:

This adapter works as advertised to allow the Furrion rear camera on my 5th Wheel to work with my 2024 GMC 3500 HD truck. I didn't give it 5 stars because the plug wes so stiff and tight that I really had to work to get it plugged in to my truck bed.

by:

Durable and connects well. The power adapter conditions the 12 vdc power to provide a steady 12 vdc to the travel trailers camera. 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD.

by:

Works as advertised. Furion rear view monitor now works on my 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500 diesel crew cab long bed ltz.

Works as designed after the first year of ownership.

eTrailer always delivers! The power adapter showed up sooner than expected and we got on the road on time. We are full time RVers so I appreciate when companies like etrailer do what they say!
I lost video feed from my rear RV camera to the in-cab monitor when we bought a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500. It has LED lights everywhere so I assume there's a voltage issue from the camera to the truck?! The adapter fixed that and now we have rear view again. So, problem solved. However, now I get warnings that "there may be something wrong with your left (or right) rear blinker. Please check." We've checked and the blinkers are all working and the warning goes away after a few seconds so I'm assuming that some little $4 sensor in the truck is incorrectly sensing the "wrong" voltage so it raises the alarms and sends out the 4th calvary to fix the problem?! But, aside from that, the adapter works fine and I appreciate, as always, etrailer and everyone who works there for the information and assistance.

by:

This adapter allowed the Furrion camera system to work on my 2021 GMC Sierra.
Not sure why Furrion doesn’t state this is required for the camera to work on Chevy and GMC products.

by:

The adapter worked perfectly for our camera issues. No rewiring needed. A true plug and play. The delivery was fast and on time for our trip.we are extremely happy and thankful.

That's awesome to hear, Ralph! How was the trip? Where did you head off to?

by:

This is a MUST HAVE if you are running a Furrion camera system on your camper and pulling with a Chevy truck. The Chevy 7-way pulses current that will cause your cameras to constantly loose signal and power off. This pigtail fixes that problem and your cameras will stay connected.

by:

My 2024 Wolf Creek 890 slide in truck camper came prewired and with the shark fin adapter attached. Unfortunately, the only way I could get the camera to connect to the 7” monitor was using the cigar lighter in my 2023 GMC 2500HD for both devices at the same time. It didn’t take very much research to find etrailer.com had the answer with the 7-way power adapter. Worked immediately just in time for our first trip pulling the boat with the camper on board.

Wow I'm so happy this was what you needed to get it working. The RV looks awesome! Where all have you traveled to this year?

by:

The 7 way power adapter resolved the issue with the backup camera pairing with my 2025 Chevrolet 2500HD. Part was of good quality and as advertised. The RV dealer should have advised or included this adapter with my rig when purchased rather than requiring me to just figure it out.

Totally agree with you, Wayne. Most if not all new trucks will need this adapter for the back-up cameras to work.

  • Troubleshooting Non-Working Sidemarker Cameras Of A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System
2020 and newer GM trucks use pulse width modulation which won't send enough power to properly operate a Furrion RV camera system. To solve this Furrion came out with the # FR87PR which corrects the problem by looping over power from the 12v circuit to the running light circuit. ASA Electronics made the # VGR64VR and it just so happened to also solve the power issue by storing power and properly feeding the main camera 12 volts and fixing the signal issues. You would only need to use one...

  • Power Adapter For Pulse Width Modulation On 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 To Use Furrion Cameras
The Replacement Furrion Monitor Power Cable # C-FOS07TAPK-006 powers the monitor. I believe you are looking for the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR that eliminates the PWM issue that causes the Furrion Vision S # FOS05TASF cameras not to get the power they need on the trailer. We also have the 12V PWM Filter # VGR64VR that you can wire in line of the camera if you prefer not to have to carry an adapter.

  • Troubleshooting Signal Issues With A Furrion Vision S RV Camera System
If there's ever an issue with the signal on a Furrion camera system is almost always comes down to lack of power. Plugging in your # FOS43TASF to the monitor cable is giving you a direct 12 volts to the camera whereas when installed on the trailer the truck's 7-way isn't providing enough power to the running light circuit. If you have a newer truck with PWM wiring (like most 2020+ GM trucks) then your camera is getting pulsing power instead of a constant and can't form a connection to the...

  • Why Does Furrion Vision S Camera Kit Require Adapter for Newer Chevy Truck
For the newer GM trucks like your 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 you do need to use the Furrion GM adapter part # FR87PR with the Furrion Observation Vision S systems like the part # FOS43TASF that you referenced. This is the adapter that the video you mentioned was referencing. The reason is that the running light circuit of your trailer wiring is what powers the camera but GM doesn't have enough power on the running light circuit to power the camera. So this adapter helps draw power from...

  • Does 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Require Power Adapter for Install of Furrion Vision S+ System
Hey Mike, your 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will have the power issue with the Furrion Vision S + # FR57AD that you have so you would need a solution like the part # VGR64VR that you referenced. Or if you don't want to mess with any wiring you could just use the plug-in style adapter part # FR87PR which does the same thing. You'd plug your 7-way into it and then plug it into your vehicle 7-way. But to answer your question the # VGR64VR would work on the thinner gauge wires that you have....

  • Furrion Vision S Camera Issue Fix For A 2022 GMC Sierra 2500
The newer Chevrolet and GM pickup trucks have a known power deficiency issue with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ Side Marker Light Cameras # FCE48TASL-05. There is likely nothing wrong that you did, the problem is the truck does not provide enough power on the running light circuit. Furrion has recognized this as a widespread issue and has released the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR to mitigate the...

  • Furrion Camera Not Getting Enough Power from Trailer Connector on 2019 Ford F250 to Operate
That is exactly what the adapter was designed to do. The Furrion # FR87PR is designed to provide the proper amount of voltage on the running lamp circuit of the 7-way so a camera system will receive enough power to operate reliably. Ford and GM 2019 models seem to have this issue. There's also now a more permanent solution, which is splicing in the PWM Filter # VGR64VR behind the camera to provide a steady current to the camera and clear up the signal issues.

Hey Johnny! That definitely sounds like a PWM issue so the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR is the solution. Hey there Martin! Yep, if you're using a Furrion RV Observation Camera with your 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD Custom 4x4, you'll likely need the Furrion 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter with Power Switch part #FR87PR. Newer Chevy and GMC trucks like yours don’t always send constant power to the trailer plug’s running light circuit, which the Furrion camera needs to turn on. This adapter fixes that by giving your camera the steady power it needs. It’s super easy to use, just plug it in between...

  • 2024 Silverado 3500 Won't Detect My LED Boat Trailer - What Can I Do?
Hey Tim, thanks for reaching out. Since you're towing with a 2024 Silverado 3500 and the trailer has all new LED lights and wiring, I think you've already narrowed it down quite a bit. GM trucks use the amount of current being drawn by the trailer lights to determine whether a trailer is connected. A lot of LED trailer lights just don't draw enough current, so the truck never recognizes the trailer even though the lights themselves work fine. I'd start by making sure the trailer ground...

This plugs directly into your Silverado's 7-Way so if you're using a 7-way to 6-square adapter this will go behind it. Welcome back Jeremy! The Furrion 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR was designed with this kind of thing specifically in mind. The flickering you are getting with the LED lights is caused by not having enough draw for your 23 Silverado 1500 to think that a trailer is attached, which is becoming more and more common with newer trucks.
