Recommended Adapter for a Furrion Backup Camera Not Working w/a In Bed Camper

Published 01/08/2026

Question:

I have a 2025 Artic Fox camper on a 2022 Chevrolet High Country 3500. I am unable to get my Furrion rear camera to connect. I understand it has something to do with the electronics of the truck. Is there an adapter to correct the problem. The electric connector on a Artic Fox is special for their camper.

Hey Jerry. There is an adapter that will make your Silverado's 7-way connector send the correct amount of voltage to your Furrion rear camera. It is the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter for Furrion RV Observation Camera item # FR87PR. This plugs directly into your Silverado's 7-Way so if you're using a 7-way to 6-square adapter this will go behind it.

Another option is to wire the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems item # VGR64VR directly behind your Furrion backup camera. This does the same job as the item # FR87PR and sounds like a better option for your 2025 Artic Fox camper setup.

I am willing to give the PWM filter a try. Is this item returnable if no success?

@JerryG The 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems item # VGR64VR is returnable but it will work. We've been using it to fix the problem with back up cameras and new trucks with voltage regulation for years. I've linked a couple of installation videos below so you can see how to get it setup.
