Best Adapter for Furrion Camera Kit to Work with 2024 GMC Sierra 7-Way

Updated 11/04/2025 | Published 10/21/2025

Question:

I bought a filter for my backup canera from you VGR64VR. I just installed it, wires marked power to the feed wires and it didn’t seem to fix my problem of the camera losing it signal. The camera doesn’t cut our/lose signal as much as before, but it still cuts out. I have a 2024 GMC and the camera is a furring camera. Is there another filter or id this the best it’s going to get?

Hey Mike!

My go-to fix for a Furrion camera system and a GM truck is the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR. Furrion came out with this for the exact reason that you're talking about, and it's been a solid solution as well.

Where did you end up installing the Voyager PWM Filter?

At the connection of the camera. My trailer came wired from the factory for the camera, I just had to buy it. Up till I bought this truck, it works fine with my 2013 GMC

@MikeB Just curious! Yeah, there's problems all over the place with never trucks and their wiring. The manufacturers have some great ideas with making some nice features for these trucks, but we're seeing that they haven't put a ton of thought into aftermarket products and how those will be affected.

So I’ll need to buy this other piece but before I do I also have 2 other questions. 1) Do I need to remove the filter I put in for this new piece to work? 2) I’m not sure it possible, but can I return the filter I bought from your company? I been in the automotive field as a tech for over 45 yrs and know sometimes you can’t return electrical parts after they’ve been installed.

@MikeB I'm not sure if they will work together, so I recommend keeping the filter in place and then using the Furrion adapter together first. Since the filter was installed we unfortunately won't be able to take it back, which is why I recommend trying them together first. Worst case is they don't work together and then you take the filter off.
