  • Can 2018 Tesla Model 3 with etrailer Hitch Tow DK2 Mighty MultiFrame Trailer
Hey Robert, I looked up the weight of the DK2 Might Multi Frame and it is pretty lightweight at 451 lb. so it would pretty easily be able to be towed with the etrailer hitch # e33ZR. It looks like the coupler height of that trailer is 16 inches and based on the hitch height of the e33ZR you'd need a rise ball mount of 6 inches. For that we have the part # C45090 and then for the correct size ball you'd need the part # 63845. Since you have trailer wiring covered already you should be good...

  • How to Pick Out Ball Mount for Honda Odyssey for Additional Rise
So what you need is the correct ball mount rise/drop that will allow your trailer to be towed level. If you did need a ball mount with a 6 inch rise we have the # C45090 though. For hitch balls you would want part # 63845 for a 2 inch ball or # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. I attached an FAQ that details how to pick out the correct ball mount. Picking out the correct ball mount will allow your trailer to sit as level as possible. Basically you will first measure the height from the ground...

  • Recommended Fixed Ball Mount For 6 Inch Rise
It is absolutely safe and legal to use a ball mount turned over to make a rise in the hitch height. For a 6 inch rise, I recommend using the Curt Ball Mount - 6" Rise, 8" Drop - 11-1/2" Long - 5,000 lbs # C45090. The weld is secure using a rise or drop. You simply need to reverse the hitch ball. For a 2 inch hitch ball, I recommend # 63845 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 63847. If you are looking for more versatility in options, I recommend and adjustable ball mount like the Curt Adjustable...

  • Distance From Pin Hole to End of Shank on the Curt Ball Mount C45090
It sounds like you are asking about the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the shank of the ball mount that slides into the hitch. That distance is 2-1/2 inches. I attached a picture that shows this dimension as well.

  • How to Choose the Correct Ball Mount for a 2017 Subaru Forester
In order to choose the correct ball mount you will need to measure from the ground to the top of the inside edge on the vehicle's receiver tube opening and then compare that to the distance from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on the trailer while level. The distance between these two measurements will give you the correct amount of rise/drop you will need to look for in a ball mount. For a ball mount with a 5" rise I recommend part # C45336 and for a ball mount with a 6" rise...

  • Can the 8 Drop Dual Hitch Adapter Be Used for Towing
I do have an option for you but none of the dual hitch adapters that provide adequate drop can be used for towing. Instead, you'd need to go with a standard ball mount with the drop you need like the Curt Ball Mount part # C45090. Then, you can carry the rod rack on the tongue of the trailer (if a-frame) with the Swagman Straddler part # S80503 or on the front of the vehicle with a front mount trailer hitch, the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31028.

  • 2018 Toyota Tacoma Ball Hitch Mount Size
That's a tall camper! I'd recommend going with a 6 inch rise option like the Curt # C45090. Even though your camper doesn't have much tongue weight, you'll still get a bit of sag in the truck's suspension when you hitch the camper, so the little bit of extra height will compensate for that. For a trailer ball, use # 63845. I've linked to some help articles that will tell you everything you ever needed to know about ball mounts.

  • Do The Blue Ox High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars Have a Tongue Weight Capacity Rating
The Blue Ox High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars part # BX88131 is designed for flat towing a vehicle behind a motor home so there is not a tongue weight capacity since the vehicle is supporting itself on all 4 wheels. If you are using this for flat towing a vehicle the overall capacity of the adapter is 5,000 lbs. It sounds like you may be towing a trailer and need a ball mount with 8" of rise/drop. The closest option available to the Blue Ox High-Low Adapter is Curt Ball Mount part # C45090...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan SE
To be able to tow 2,000 pounds with your 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan you will need to have either the 3.8 liter or 4.0 liter motor and the vehicle will need to be equipped with the factory tow package. Then at the very least it can tow 3,000 pounds with 6 to 7 people and luggage in the van. I have included a picture of 2 pages from the owners manual showing the different capacities based on how the vehicle is equipped. If you are not sure if your van has the tow package you can ask a dealer...

On the Curt Ball Mount # C45090 the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the near edge of the reinforcing gusset is 3-inches. From the hole center to the end of the shank the measure is 2-1/2-inches. I prepared a photo diagram for you to show these dimensions. I also linked our main page for all 2-inch ball mounts.

  • Ball Mount with a 6 Inch Rise and 1 Inch Diameter Ball Hole
We have some options for ball mounts that have a 6 inch rise. Curt ball mount # C45090 has a 6 inch rise and when in the rise position it is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. The rise is measured from the top of the receiver opening to the top of the ball platform. We also have # C45100 with 6-1/4 inch rise. Capacity is the same as the above ball mount. For 5 inches of rise we have # C24WR rated for 8,000 pounds gross trailer weight. I have linked...

  • Recommended Ball Mount with Correct Drop to Tow Trailer Level
It sounds like you need a ball mount with a drop of at least 8 or 9 inches. A couple options are the Curt # C45090 with 8 inches of drop and the Curt # C45112 with 10-1/4 inches of drop. Another option since you're not positive exactly how your trailer is going to sit when hooked up is to go with an adjustable ball mount. The Weigh Safe 2-Ball Mount # WS10-2 will give you up to 10 inches of drop so you have the ability to choose the best height for your trailer. This also has a built...

  • Ball Mount With 6 Inches of Rise for 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver
Since your trailer's coupler height is 18 inches, and your hitch height is 12-1/4 inches, you are correct that you would need a ball mount with 5-3/4 inches of rise. That said, you do not need to have the exact amount of rise (or drop) for your ball mount, and being within an inch or so is perfectly fine. So I recommend a ball mount with a 6 inch rise, the Curt Ball Mount # C45090. To mount it to your hitch you can use Pin and Clip # PC3 but I recommend locking for protection with the...

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for EcoHitch Installed on 2019 Tesla Model 3 Towing 18 inch Tall Trailer
When we installed the EcoHitch part # EH84GR on a 2018 Tesla Model 3 just like your 2019 model we found that the top of the hitch opening measures 9-3/4 inches from the ground. So to tow a trailer with an 18 inch coupler height measured at the top of the ball you'd want a rise of right at 6 inches since the standard place to measure is the bottom of the coupler lip. For that we have the Curt ball mount part # C45090 which would work perfectly for this. For a hitch ball then you'd want...

  • How to Pick Out Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount for 2016 Honda Odyssey
When determining the amount of rise/drop ball mount you'd need the two dimensions you need are the distance from the top of the hitch opening to the ground and from the bottom of the trailer coupler when it's sitting level. The difference between those two dimensions is the rise/drop you'd need. So for sure we know the hitch measurement is 12 inches. Lets say your coupler height was 18 inches from the bottom of it that would mean you'd need a 6 inch rise like # C45090. If your coupler...

  • Ball Mount with More than 5 Inches of Drop to Tow a Trailer Level with a Jeep Commander
We do have ball mounts that you can use that have more drop than 5-1/2 inches. But you have to choose one based on the hitch you have, 1-1/4 inch receiver opening or 2 inch receiver opening. On a 1-1/4 inch hitch you have to use the ball mount indicated by the hitch manufacturer or it can void the hitch warranty. But if you have a 2 inch receiver then you can use any ball mount that fits your needs. I have included a link to the right that shows how to measure to determine the proper...

  • Class III Ball Mount with 6-Inches of Rise for Use with 2012 Toyota RAV4
For a Class III ball mount with 6-inches of rise use part # C45090 from Curt. We do not have one with the exact 5-1/4-inches you want but that small difference will not matter. You are correct that you want your trailer to be as level as possible to help minimize sway. Careful loading (to maintain a tongue weight of 15-percent of gross trailer weight) will also help.
