Today, were looking at Part Number FA82-00-3315. As you can see this is a cover with a tether is made for your seven-way trailer connector and its manufactured by Fastway. This is a good way to keep dirt, and grime, and bugs out of your trailer and seven-way when its not in use. So, Ill show you how it works.We have a plug here, slide the tether over the plug. The tether will keep it from getting lost and just push the cover on. There you go, thatll keep it clean.

Easy plug and play with plenty of wire to get down to the 7 way. I was able to attach to a factory ground like one of the videos showed. It's been installed for one year with no issues.
A good cover for the 7-blade connector on the 5th wheel trailer, to keep moisture from oxidizing the contacts, since it is still exposed to dampness when the cable is stored in the pin box.
This is my second tethered cover. The original, identical one I purchased from etrailer had the tether ring break upon installation. It was a little disappointing but it still functioned and I had intended to keep it. However, the folks at etrailer sent a follow up email after my delivery and inquired about my order experience. I replied that the tether ring broke at install but I was going to just go with it as is. I am happy to report that etrailer sent me a new cover immediately after my reply. I am pleased with their customer focus and because of that I will be a return customer!
After reading a review online where the writer claimed the loop broke when he went to stretch it over the plug I was apprehensive about what I was ordering. After watching a video of a woman effortlessly attaching the cover to a plug I was less apprehensive. After watching the video I really wasn't surprised at how easily the cover installed. I had no problem stretching the loop on and over the cover stop of the plug. No more do I have to wrap the end in electrical tape to keep moisture out.
Great to be able to keep 7 way connector clean.

Perfect fit
This product provides a good seal on the business end of the plug. The keeper, however, is fairly flimsy and will occasionally snap as you are stretching it over the plug head.

Weather slowed down delivery. They were able to re-route my order and get it to me. They offered to resend the order when I contacted them, but I was able to wait. Great help from customer service.
Installs easily. Fits perfectly on the 7 blade connector. I see no reason to be concerned about breaking the retainer ring during installation. Just be gentle and patient. Great product!!

So, I’ve been using this connector cap for a year. First time I returned to the trailer at the storage yard, there was water in it, which meant the connector was swimming in water for a month. Well, after that, when storing the trailer, I arrange the connector and wire, so that rain will not go in and stay. It’s a cover, but not water tight. I’ll keep using it, though. Better than any alternative.
This is a nice little cover. It's surprising how a simple rubber thing like this can prevent a lot of frustration and work at cleaning all the connectors in the trailer plug after it's been outside with little protection all winter. I have no idea why I never bought one of these before...

I just started de-winterizing my toy hauler after a long, brutal winter. The cap is still there, fully intact, and the inside is dry.
I bought two of these, one for my Airstream and one for my utility trailer. My cord ends were always getting dirty, full of bugs and gunk. Installation was easy because they are made of supple, stretchy rubber. They fit snugly on both trailer cords, and I am sure they will keep the nasty stuff out of my cord ends. Thanks for a great product.

I have had the cord covers for a year now and they are still in perfect condition. They must be made of high quality rubber. They work great and keep the cord ends clean.

I have always been concerned about the electrical connector being exposed to the weather and I hope that this will work. Long-term use will confirm its ability to stand up to useage and weather but so far - so good.

It hasnt deteriorated at all. I stilk have to point the connector up to keep out rain but at least the connections are protected.
Looks well made and easy to install.
Great fit and teather
The Fastway 7-Way connector cover is the right idea that just needs to be executed much better. The tether is almost completely useless, as it will always break either during installation or shortly thereafter, or if anything more than a gentle tug is applied. I found that a plastic wire-tie was the best product to keep the cover tethered to the trailer or cable. It does seal reasonably well as long as you align the index tab on the connector properly and keep the cover pointing toward the sky. It is better than using nothing.
I bought this to keep water out of my trailer plug. When I went to hitch up the trailer a few days after a rain, I found the plug full of water. I tossed this cap and continued my previous practice of making sure the plug was oriented down when not in use. No further problems with rain water. Very disappointing since everything else I’ve purchased from E Trailer over the years has been exactly as advertised and has preformed well.
RV Mat was very useful on our cross country trip, some sites were very sandy/dusty.
Tire covers not difficult to put on and take off
Connector Cover is helpful to keep contacts clean, particularly when it rained, the holder around cable broke after several uses, I stored the cover in my door pocket, a little inconvenient
Only reason I marked a 4 rather than 5 due to the time it took to get from Missouri to AZ. Almost two weeks that I am sure was due to USPS. They have a tracking system that does not update well also the usps tracking said it would be here a day before it actually did. Couldn’t track during route, usps screens added zero updates, Product great, etrailer great, shipping not so much.
