The Blue Ox High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars part # BX88131 is designed for flat towing a vehicle behind a motor home so there is not a tongue weight capacity since the vehicle is supporting itself on all 4 wheels. If you are using this for flat towing a vehicle the overall capacity of the adapter is 5,000 lbs.
It sounds like you may be towing a trailer and need a ball mount with 8" of rise/drop. The closest option available to the Blue Ox High-Low Adapter is Curt Ball Mount part # C45090 with 6" of rise and 8" of drop. It is also 11-1/2" long like the Blue Ox adapter.
If you are looking at the Blue Ox High-Low adapter because you need it for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, I recommend the Roadmaster High-Low adapter part # RM-048-10 which has 10-1/4" Rise/Drop and 11-1/4" of length. Please keep in mind the weight capacity of your hitch is reduced to 50% with the use of an adapter while using an accessory.
