Not sure why I didn't buy this sooner. I could never wash the top of my truck, now I can. It even fits on my jeep with 33 inch tires. Makes checking fluids much easier. It folds to a compact size and can be stored away.
It is build strong and does not flex when I step on the non slip step and it is adjustable for different size tires.
Attaching and detaching 5th wheel is a breeze with this step
Awesome product! I own a Ford Excursion with 285/75/16 tires. The step fit with enough room and there is still adjustment space for larger tires. I weigh 260 lbs. and was able to climb on this tire step with confidence. It didn't even feel like it was flexing under my weight. The step has three levels, down at the bottom, like shown in the photo, two in the middle and one on top. I just used it while polishing the top of my truck with ease. I highly recommend this product, and likewise, for getting it on etrailer.com as this is the second product I have purchased from them. The order process was simple, and the delivery was prompt. Way to follow up etrailer! Just with this type of customer commitment is enough to keep me coming back. - The Tire Step is working like a champ. What is impressive,is the way the paint is holding up. I thought there would be rust spots showing through cracked or chipped paint, but it is not, because the paint is holding up extremely well no chips or cracks. Further, the bolts and pins are also rust free which is a big deal considering I use this at leas twice a month to wash my truck. Great product, would only suggest adding a pin on the left side or right side, so when the Tire Step is closed flat, the pin can hold it flat. Just thinking... Again, thanks for the great quality in your Tire Step and for following up.
Would have gotten 5 stars but the bumpers didn’t line up with my wheel and tire so they didn’t hold it away from the tire.
Adjustable, easy to use, and absolutely perfect for short people with big trucks. Now my short self can actually reach inside the bed of my truck.
The platform is very non-slip, and it has adjustable rubber bumpers so that the metal bits doesn’t scratch your wheel or tire.

This is the perfect addition, we use it to get our Yakima on the top of the truck!
Fit Finish super - installed per instructions - works great - feels secure - easy to use and adjust - makes washing truck for this 5'-7" guy super easy - can reach windshield and all the way across the hood - and folds up and lays on shelf in garage
Does exactly what I needed it to do, give us "average" height guys the boost needed to access the 5th wheel hitch with a Dually truck wide fenders. The only negative it's a bit clunky to fold and hard to carry when folded, really should have some sort of locking mechanism to keep closed.

After owning for over a year, and taking with me on several monthlong RV trips I keep in truck bed, I find that I rarely use. Its just too clunky to unfold and carry as stated in my initial review, so I just climb up on the tire to hookunhook my 5th wheel, a bit of a pain but much faster. As I age about to turn 68 I am sure climbing on the tire will get harder and I will switch to using the step, it works great once in place, just wish it had a lock when folded.
Item is just what I didn't know I needed! lol
Folds nice and compact, arrived completely assembled, very good quality. I will find MANY uses for this step.
I really like the build quality and the adjustability of this product.
Would have been nice to be able to see if the item was in stock BEFORE placing the order!! However, the communication from ""etrailer" rep was quite good, and the item did arrive quicker than the expected "back in stock" ship date.

STILL LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I use it several times a month on all my vehicles two suvs and a full size truck, makes cleaning and waxing easier. I have also used this product on several underhood repairs, provides a VERY stable platform to work from. Would definitely recommend my family and friends to buy one!
Arrived assembled. Took it out and tried it within two minutes of it being delivered. Sets perfectly over even my 33" tires. Feels solid - should keep me from slipping and falling again while hooking or unhooking my fifth wheel.

Used many times now and still impressed. Traded trucks and had to adjust for different ratio tires which took about 2 minutes. Should have bought years ago.
I use the step all the time. I am on the shorter side so getting into the bed of my truck is so simple. Great product and I fully recommend this product!

Just got it as we were working on one of our trucks. Works great!! If you have larger than stock wheels we attached some heavy duty foam to act as padding when the step makes contact with the wheel if they are painted. Shipped fast, works great!! Thank you.
This is the best over tire step, bench, tool holder.
I use it all the time and the strength is great.

I still use my over that tire step and love it so much I bought one for my father because he likes the over the tire step so much he would use mine. Love this step.
I have used this tire step on my '14 Durango many times for roof top bikes and snow ski racks. Since I'm only 5'8" and have a tall SUV, this is great. Fits nicely in the below cargo floor compartment behind the third row. Just remember to put on the park brake as there is always a little tire roll when parked.
Good product. Works as advertised. I have a lifted truck so using this to change oil, spark plugs or any other job under the hood is A LOT more comfortable than trying to use a small ladder next to truck or trying to stand on the tire. The step feels sturdy too when you have your weight on it. Quite honestly, I would not have bought it if it didn't come with the rubber stoppers that protect my wheels. They are a great addition.
Sturdy. Folds up compact to store. Quick mount/dismount. I use to put kayaks or other gear on top of my SUV. Very satisfied w quality.
Had hoped it could serve dual purpose and reach top of my hauler trailer, too, but the trailer fenders are much too close to the tire to get this in.
Very excited to receive my step and use it...it fits over the tires on my dually just fine and will help me get up high enough to operate the fifth wheel mounted in the bed of my truck.....so glad I found this step and it is very much worth the low cost....
I have a new Maverick Hybrid. It's easy to use the bumper to step up and over the tailgate, but with a bad knee, but using the tires on the sides to climb in, not so much. The on line ordering was seamless, the product shipped and delivered quickly, and once delivered, the packaging was sturdy but easy to open. Once opened, the step unfolded easily and slipped over the tire with zero effort. It took less than five minutes to size the step to my tire and find a height that makes it easy for me to climg in. The cotter pins are large and easy to pull out while adjusting, but stiff so you know they'll stay securely once you selected your adjustments. Fit and finish (materials) look professional. I used it for a half hour, climbing up and down multiple times, and it is significantly safer than clambering up via the top of the tire. I believe this one is a winner, and happily recommend it. This tire step works great. It fits nicely on GM OEM 20" wheels & tires. I can clean the windshield & hood very easily without touching the glass or body. Tired of trying to stretch over the hood to wax & polish it? This makes getting the luv bugs off of your windshield simple. This is a great tool for the automobile detailing enthusiast.
Use it for fire truck engine inspections daily. So far so good! It will work on the 19.5 set up for F-550's with fairly close stock tires. Not going to work on big monster wheel set up, think more of it for stock tire/wheel applications.
I bought this for my husband and when it arrived, he put it on the front tire of our SUV to see how it worked. He loves this tire step now he doesn't have to use a ladder every time he cleans the windshield. He plans to work on our truck to service the engine and he always has to use a step ladder (which is very awkward) now with this tire step it is perfect and a whole lot safer. This step is really good quality and very strong. The other great thing about this tire step is the adjustable rubber bumpers you will never have to worry about scratching your chrome wheels again. excellent product . standing on tire always left small dings when attaching lock on fifth wheel. This product eliminates that. Also very easy to hang over tire My wife even uses it
I purchased the Powerbuilt adjustable truck step after seeing my small in stature son Keith constantly struggle using a 5 gallon bucket to work on his big truck. This step will make his repairs much easier! I have made several purchases from etrailer.com and will continue in the future.
