Hey guys, check out this Right Line gear doorstep. This little device here is unique. I've never seen anything like it. It actually provides us with an extra step when accessing our roof. It's going to give us the height we need. Let's go ahead and check it out.It simply clips on to our door latch, on just about any vehicle.
It allows us to step up and easily access our roof. With my cargo box in place here, I can load, unload or organize my gear inside of it. If I can't quite reach down there, I could disconnect it here, I can connect it to my passenger door latch, and get even more height out of it.Now, we've all stood on a tire before. These can be slippery, and we could fall. But having that extra step there, it's going to give us more balance.
I want you to come in here and get a closer look. Now, it's not just a piece of scrap metal. It's actually pretty heavy duty. You can see it's nice and thick here. Right Line spent a little bit of time on it.
We've got some good grip that way we don't slip off. My initial reaction was, is it going to stay in place You can see it's got a hook here. It does move around a lot, but we actually have to come up about this far for it to detach. So even if we we're to be loading or unloading any gear on our roof and we actually hit it, we don't have to worry about it coming off. And with it moving that much, since it does feature a rubber padding here, we don't have to worry about it causing any harm or any scratches the inside of our door.
That goes the same with our hook here, it has a rubber coating, that was it doesn't harm or scratch anything. Now, it does have a 400-pound weight capacity. So that will be more than enough for you and whatever gear you might be lifting up to store in your box or on your roof. What I found is it's not ideal for all vehicles and it's not ideal for all situations. For example, my Jeep Grand Cherokee here has a roof mounted bike rack. I'm about six-foot. For one, I can almost reach it. And even if I wanted to use the Right Line gear step, it'd be just a little bit too high for me to want to secure my bike when I can just use the inner step and the tire for balance. So what we can do is we can check out a few more vehicles and see how it works for them.So with our mid-sized truck here, again it's going to give us that extra height that we need, decrease our chances of stepping on our seat and getting it dirty and though my truck design have a roof rack or roof box, if I we're to be washing or waxing, I can easily reach three quarters of the roof without having the struggle with getting maybe a step stool or ladder to finish the job.Let's check in out on our sedan. Now, it may give you just a little bit more height than you need. Maybe it's not good for loading up a bike rack or cargo, but maybe it's good for cleaning. It may give you that balance or that extra room to reach the other side of your roof. Here in the back, it's angled so it may not be as useful. It is gripped like we talked about, but you wouldn't want to risk falling. On to our minivan, let's check it out.In my opinion, it's just the right height. We could easily step into our door and get a little bit more height out of our Right Line gear step. Now, though it's not centered with our minivan, we can still access maybe a cargo basket, cargo box or anything else that might be on our roof. For our sliding door , this the perfect example of what will not work. You can see how our latch is off set. I would not recommend standing on that. Though it looks like it may work, it's sloped. You could risk falling. And finally, with our lifted truck, same thing. We're going to get that extra height to access our roof. So as you can see, it's going to work with a wide variety of vehicles. So in my opinion, the Right Line Gear Moki door step is going to be very handy. You saw how we we're able to access the roof on multiple vehicles and it's going to be especially great for those who are vertically challenged. When you're old and using it, the orange color is going to remind us that it's still there, that way, we don't accidentally shut our door on it. Its dimensions are 8 and 3/4 of an inch long, 3 inches wide and 5 and 1/4 inches tall. So it's small enough to maybe store on your glove box, underneath your seat or in your door side pocket. But with that being said, I hope this was a helpful video. That's going to complete our look in the Moki Right Line gear doorstep.

This door step provides easy access to your vehicle's roof. Simply hook it over the U-shaped door latch on either side of your car, truck, or SUV, and step up. Eliminates dirty shoes on vehicle seats and the need for a step stool or ladder. This is Great! Its compact and sturdy. I can now reach the Roof of my F-150 to clean the Sunroof Glass, remove ice and snow, or wax the roof without the use of a ladder. Also, this saves the leather Seating area which i used to step on. Add if you're traveling, it's an excellent stow-it add-on to any vehicle for unexpected need. 637864
The item alowes me and the family to wash or load the truck Chev 2016 Duramax a long with the wife's 2018 Traverse. If they were not so expensive I would get 2 more. I was asked by my mail carrier what I thought of them and he asked the cost of them and that changed his mind. Maybe when he gets a little older he may change his mind. Sure helps us seniors (78) get the job done. Will be showing the grand children how to use it when they help us with the heavy items we are loading. Thanks. 636868

Fits very good on our F150 Ford. Allows us to reach the roof carrier comfortably and safely. 649962
Have not used it but it is one very solid piece of equipment. As long as the Tacoma holds up I foresee no problems 647658
Solid product. It fits on the door of my 2014 Silverado, but not on my 2005 Tahoe. This will help me and my hunting buddies to load the top rack on my shell camper with out the need to carry a collapsible ladder, therefore saving weight and space. 640848
Incredible product! Don't buy the junk on Amazon. This one is more expensive and worth every extra penny. Very solid and you can fit both feet. 600330
