Price was right, but not the quality of design. The 4-way plug sits into an open-sided area on the mounting bracket, a loose fit and never stayed in place. I had to remodel, cut a piece of tin and pop-rivet to bracket, to trap 4-way plug and keep in place. Spending a little more money gets you something that works at the get-go.

Installed with zci 4 pin and running lights dont work. Emailed support and they were no help
I checked to see what my 4- flat connector had before replacing it today. ( Taillights and brake lights had been inconsistent) All we're working if I wiggled the connection. I plugged in the new harness and nothing worked now. It was just a 15 amp fuse under the hood that blew when I replaced the harness without unhooking the battery. Everything works as it should now.Thanks for the help with ordering the right parts!
This is a good piece of gear. It could use 2 improvements however: the corrugated plastic wire wrap is not waterproof and admits water into the rear of the socket. You need to seal it well on installation to prevent electrical shorts (which I experienced). Second, the hardware supplied is not stainless steel, which means that removing it is very difficult. I had to replace my first one due to an electrical short, and the screws were corroded solid.
He helped me convert a Mercedes van 6 pin into a 7way that was giving me a headache. Thanks!
It’s been a year and this adapter has served me exceptionally. I especially like that it maintains a 4 flat pin connector, eliminating the need for some stupid plug that just gets lost. When this connector rusts out, which it will beauce they all do at some point in time. I will most certainly buy this again to replace it. 100% recommend you buy.
Disclaimer I 3D printed my own mount for it. And did not use the included bracket.

This worked great with an Echo wireless brake control.
Very well made with quality wiring. Worked perfectly for the application I needed. This allows me to connect all three of my trailers that have the 7 Way RV style pigtails and will allow me to also be able to use a 4 flat pigtail on other trailers. Also will allow me to add a brake controller to my FJ in the future and connect it to the blue, yellow and black wires that will allow me to have e-brakes, reverse lights and accessory 12V power to the 7 Way when needed.
This adaptor is very versatile and pretty easy and quick to install. I have only used it a few times but it is doing well so far. One problem with it though is some 4-way plugs have some difficulty fitting into 4-way part of the adaptor so you may have to wiggle it around before it fits. I chose to pair it with the "Curt Easy Mount Bracket for 4- or 5-Way Flat and 6- or 7-Way Trailer Connectors - 2" Hitch" and they are working well.
The installation went exactly according to plan, and the final install looks great. I used a mechanic's creeper and some ramps, which was extremely helpful. The videos on the website were excellent, showing every little detail. I cut an extra hole in the bumper for a 7-way connector, and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I recommend part # C58000 as an alternate bracket. It clamps to the hitch receiver and also provides a four-way clamp that will hold the 4 flat more securely.
