Question:
This breakaway is installed on our cargo trailer which is stored for long periods of time. How do I connect a trickle charger to keep the battery charged? Is there an adapter for that? Thanks

Hey Steve, so the red wire of the Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Unit part # 3802339 is the charge circuit for the battery when connected to a tow vehicle. So you'd want to tap into this circuit to charge it when in storage.
So I would run your trick charger to the black wire of the # 337TC1474P and then plug your trailer's 7-way into it and it would charge. Sound feasible?

Hey Steve, did the setup with the trickle charger and the 7-way connector work out for keeping your breakaway battery charged during storage? Knowing how it performed could help others trying to maintain their trailer batteries the same way.
