Functions well. Worm gear band slips off if you over tighten. I thought I had ruined it but I eventually got it to work.
the plate is fine but the strap to hold the plate on would not get tight. screw it until it was close then it would pop and be loose again. piece of garbage!!! had to go buy a new better one!!!
Did not work on the round tube reciever hitch that was on this truck

Discard the clampThe plate is great for mounting the plug connector. Open the package and toss the clamp. Buy a smaller clamp that actually can be tighten and loosen with ease. The one with the package is an engineering night mare.

A snap to install and exactly what I needed for my 05 Tacoma, since there are no great mount points for an aftermarket 7-way. Product quality is good - definitely not flimsy. Etrailer's ordering process and communications were excellent. I'll be back!
Like dealing with merchants in the good old days!I first ordered an LED trailer plug converter from Etrailer over a year ago. Worked perfect until I broke it by driving away from the trailer without unplugging it. Bought three more. Etrailer kept me updated on the progress of the order, etc. Followed up with emails letting me know that the were backordered but would arrive soon. I have no idea how small or large this company is but it reminds me of dealing with a Mom and Pop hardware store in the old (i.e. 50s and 60s) days!
I was concerned this bracket might be flimsy but that is not the case. I'm not sure I need it for my installation as my Draw Tite# 75586 hitch appears to have the mounting holes for the bracket already to accept the ETBC7 kit, however, the bracket would extend and lift the ETBC7 7-pin connector for easier access and added protection respectively. In any case, for the price I feel it is cheap insurance in case I do need it.
Thanks for the great video on installing the 7 pin adapter (ETBC7L). The video was even on a Toyota Grand Highlander - my exact vehicle. I didn't like how low the video installed the bracket, so I made a few bends to this bracket to integrate it more into the the lower molding. This raised it up another inch or so compared to your video. You can see the height difference in the screen grabs of your install versus mine. Bottom line, you can use this bracket to fabricate for you unique situation.

One year later, and the bracket as well as adapter are still working great! I use it probably 2-4 times per month and have never had any issue.
hitch installation video was helpful... bolt clearances on the passenger side above the muffler were very tight the space saver spare barely clears the hitch. The wiring harness 7 pin mounting only bolts to the plastic valance. There is no room for any other type of mounting.

Hey neighbor! Install of the 7-way looks great. What do you tow with your Palisade?
Easy install when doing the Curt receiver hitch. Will have to trim the under panel but it gives a clean look on my 2018 Lexus RX 450h. The long plate is necessary to get the plug to align with the receiver.
I like etrailer.com because they have the major brands and videos to show you how they fit and how to install them.

Worked well for getting the connector above the trailer hitch where it’s more protected, since the hitch is quite low.

It worked well on my round tube hitch. I used two stainless steel clamps instead of the one that was included. If I try to push down on it, the bracket would bend before it rotated on the hitch tube.
