  • Need Replacement Center Cap for Americana Series 6, 15 Inch Wheel
  • Yes, the replacement center cap you will need for your Americana Series 6 Trailer Wheel is the Americana Trailer Wheel Center Cap, part # AM90091. This wheel center cap also has a shiny finish like the Americana Wheel Cap, part # AM90092. The representative at Americana informed me that the Wheel Center Cap # AM90091 will fit any bolt pattern of the Americana Series 6, 15 inch wheel.

  • What Is The Torque Specifications On A 9/16 Inch Lug Nut
  • The standard torque on a Redline Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 9/16 inch, part # 6-53, is 135 to 145 ft lbs. This is the torque range that is normally used. If the instructions for the wheel are saying 110 ft lbs there might be a reason, like the wheel material, why they are recommending a lower torque. I think 170 ft lbs is too high for a 9/16 inch lug nut.

  • Wheel Cap Availability for a Rockwood Trailer
  • We have several wheel caps (see link), but without know what rims you have on your trailer it would be hard for me to say for certain which you would need. If you measure the pilot diameter of the wheels you have you can select your pilot diameter from the filters and all of the correct caps will be listed. Or if you have a wheel like the part # AM90092 the wheel cap # AM90091 would be the correct center cap.

  • Will Americana Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Cap Part # AM90086 Fit 15-Inch Rims on VW Trike
  • The Americana Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Cap, part # AM90086, is intended for 13-, 14- and 15-inch conventional 5-lug trailer wheels. Since your VW Trike wheels are 15 inches and have roughly a 9-1/2 inch snap ring around the hub, these 9-1/2-inch center caps may work. I have provided a link to one of the 15-inch wheels we offer that this center cap fits. I have also included a photo of the wheel with measurements that I took from a sample in our warehouse. You can compare these...

  • We offer two Baby Moon hub caps, part # AM90086 that you referenced, which fits 13-, 14- and 15-inch 5-lug conventional trailer wheels; and part # AM981306 which has a pointed dome and which fits only 15-inch 6-lug conventional trailer wheels. These two hub caps have different inner diameters so to match up a fit to your Airstream's wheels you'll want to measure the diameter of the circle formed by the wheels' nubs. Please refer to the linked photo that shows these. Compare the diameter...

  • Which Size Wheel Will Fit 20.5 x 8.0 -10 Tire For Tennessee/Sylvan Pontoon Boat Trailer
  • A tire size of 20.5 x 8.0 -10, will fit a wheel that is 10 inches in diameter and is 6 inches wide, like the item you selected, Dexstar Steel Trailer Wheel, part # AM20046. This wheel has a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern, so you will need to measure the bolt pattern of your trailer to determine which wheel you will need (see FAQ). We also have available wheels with the tires mounted already, like the Kenda Trailer Tire With Wheel, part # AM3H400. I have linked all of our 10 inch wheel...

  • Will an ST205/75d14 Trailer Tire Fit On an ST215/75d14 Wheel
  • Every tire size has a range of wheel widths it can fit on. An ST205/75D14 will fit on 5, 5-1/2, 6, 6-1/2 inch wide wheels. For the slightly wider 215, it will fit on 5-1/2, 6, 6-1/2, 7 inch wide wheels. So as long as the wheel width is 5-1/2, 6 or 6-1/2 inches you can mount the smaller tire on the same wheel. Wheel widths are measured from bead seat to bead seat. This means the tire has to be off of the wheel to measure the width. I have included a helpful link to our series of trailer...

  • How to Measure Hub Covers for a Trailer Wheels with 5 inch Diameter Pilot Holes
  • The pilot hole in the center of your wheel is most likely just shy of 5 inches. Normally, it will measure something like 4.90 or 4.88 inches in diameter. Using a precise measurement tool like a dial caliper is the best way to determine the exact measurement of the pilot hole. I have provided a link to all of the wheel covers that we carry for you to review. • How to Measure a Trailer Wheel Pilot Hole to Choose a Replacement Center Cap
  • The pilot hole on a wheel is the big center hole right in the middle of the wheel. It fits over the hub.. It can be tough to measure these with the wheel still on the trailer so you will want to remove the wheel and then it will be easier to measure. The best way to measure it would be to use digital or dial calipers. I can look up the tire you previously ordered, # AM10256, but since the wheels that the tire fits could have different size pilot holes I cannot go by the tire size alone....

  • What is the Diameter of the Pilot Hole for Dexstar Trailer Wheel # AM20747
  • The center, or pilot, hole of the Dexstar Trailer Wheel # AM20747 you referenced is 4.27 inches in diameter. We do have a wheel with a 3.65 inch pilot hole with the Dexstar Trailer Wheel # AM20758. If your wheels are lug-centric, going with a wheel with a slightly larger pilot hole will not be an issue. However, if you have a hub-centric wheel, you will need for your pilot hole to be exactly the same size and, at this time, we do not carry a wheel with a 3-1/2 inch pilot hole. Lug-centric...

  • Is There a Standard Weight Capacity for 13 inch Galvanized Steel Trailer Wheels
  • Yes, 13 inch galvanized steel wheels do have weight limits. For example, the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel, part # AM20234, that you referenced has a weight limit of 1660 lbs at 65 psi. Other rims will have other weight limits based on their design. What I am trying to say is that there is not an industry standard on 13 inch steel wheels as far as weight capacities go. There are some that have higher weight capacities and some with lower capacities. I will say that a majority of...

  • How To Determine Which Valve to Use for Wheel Rim Taskmaster TTWALS51345
  • I was able to go out to the warehouse and measure the valve hole diameter on the Taskmaster # TTWALS51345 you were looking at and found the hole measures .453 of an inch. The recommended valve stem for the Taskmaster Wheel # TTWALS51345 is the # AM20903 which is designed to fit into the .453 diameter hole on the wheel. The # AM20906 valve stem you were looking at is designed for rim hole diameters of .625 of an inch.

  • Would These Wheels Work on a Zero Radius Turn Mower?
  • The wheel you mentioned has a 900 lb weight rating, so the capacity will not be your problem. The wheel size is the same, but I am not entirely sure that the bolt pattern will be close enough to match up. A 4 bolt on 100mm bolt pattern would equate to 4 on 3.94 inches, which would be far enough off that it would not fit. The # AM20021 is for 1/2 inch wheel studs and has a 2.5 inch pilot diameter. I would recommend confirming the bolt pattern of your hubs, I have linked you to an...

  • What is the Best Way to Remove a Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Cap
  • I spoke with my colleague who has been in the tire and wheel business for over 30 years. He said that the best way to remove the baby moons like # AM90086 is to use a hub cap puller, a tool that you do not see much anymore. Otherwise you would have to pry it off with some sort of tool whether it be a screwdriver or other flat tool. I had a wheel and baby moon together at my desk and ran into the same problem. This same colleague then was able to pull it off with his bare hands. He then...
