when towing down the road behind motorhome should the transmission be in park neutral or does it matter

Typically the transmission would be put in neutral for flat towing, but this can vary depending on your exact vehicle and its drivetrain. This information should be located in your copy of the vehicle's owner's manual, usually under the section titled "Recreational Towing". It will give you the exact steps to take before towing the vehicle with all 4 wheels on the ground.

@ChrisR we are towing our 2018 gmc Denali canyon put it in neutral and it totally drained the battery. Checked the owners manual said absolutely nothing. I am putting a new battery in tomorrow $300. I have been told by fellow RVers that you can tow the vehicle in park as long as you have the transmission disengaged by putting it in neutral. I’m running out of options. Any ideas
