Question:

I installed RM-766 in my 2021 GMC Canyon Denali and it worked great. I traded my 2021 for a 2024 GMC Canyon AT4. The Battery setup is different in the 2024 it has cables directly to the positive and negative on the battery. I removed the RM-766 from the 2021 will this work on the 2024 and how do you set it up? Is there another type battery cutoff you would recommend? There isn’t a lot of Install information yet on the 2024’s. Thanks

Hey Bob, so I checked with Roadmaster and they do have the battery disconnect kit part # RM-766 listed as a fit for the 2024 GMC Canyon gas models and the part # RM93MR for the diesel models. They did state that some truck models have two batteries and in those situations you'd need a disconnect kit for each battery.

They don't list any special steps for your truck and instead recommend just the standard connections. Maybe I am not understanding your battery setup but most vehicle batteries have cables that run directly to them.
