Built for a solid feel, MORryde fold-down step setups give your RV a steadier entry and exit. Match your door frame width and entry height, and pick an 8" or 9" rise/drop for the step spacing that feels right. On some rigs, a bit of trimming at the door or threshold may be needed for full clearance when folding and for the screen door to close.
They can in the right setup. One slide-in camper install used a 2-step by drilling out rivets, removing the threshold mount, and mounting under the camper flipdown step. A pop-up install reported no issues. Check your mounting area depth and panel style, and confirm door width and entry height before drilling.
Measure the inside door frame width and match it to the MORryde spec. Some are designed for 23-3/4" to 26-1/4" wide door frames. If your opening is wider, a narrower step may not catch the lip on the door frame. Also measure entry height from the top of the doorway threshold to the ground to pick the correct step count and rise.
Pick based on your entry height and comfort. A 3-step setup helps reduce a big last-step drop, especially when the trailer is leveled and sits higher. Verify your entry height, then match to the MORryde range and preferred rise (8" or 9"). If the last step has felt too tall, moving to 3 steps can make a noticeable difference.
The 8" or 9" rise is the distance between the steps. MORryde options with 8" rise fit entry heights like 30" - 33-1/2", while 9" rise fits entry heights like 34" - 36". Measure your entry height from the top of the doorway threshold to the ground and choose the rise that lands in your range.
They can, but check for tight spots. Some installs needed a small cut to the aluminum foundation or door frame lip for the screen door to close and the steps to fold fully. Dry-fit first, close the screen door, and watch the lower 8" or so of the frame. Measure from the hinge line to position the mounting panel correctly.
