Video Transcript for Bargman Wiring - Trailer Connectors - 50-67-210 Review

Today we're going to review part number 50-67-210, this is the Bargman double ended, 7 way, molded trailer wire connector. Now this double ended connector is 8 foot long cable. On the very end you can see are the 7 way plastic trailer connectors that are molded to this heavy duty, 7 way, insulated cable. The connectors are made with self cleaning contacts and molded to encapsulate the terminals and the wires to form 1 weather resistant, non-corrosive, assembly. Now the primary wire gauges within this cable are the black and white wires are 10 gauge, the blue are a 12 gauge, the brown, red, green, and yellow, are all 14 gauge. Now this would come in handy if your trailer connector would not be able to reach your tow vehicle. You can plug in one end on your trailer, plug this into your tow vehicle and you'd be ready to go.

Now these dual trailer end connectors can be used with thermal plastic, or metal, 7 way car in connectors. That should do it for the review of part number 50-67-210, this is the Bargman double ended, 7 way, molded trailer wire connector. .

Fit perfectly no issues. Really good construction and quality. Length was perfect for my 2006 Dodge Ram to 1995 Jayco Rendezvous truck camper. My in bed connector receptacle is placed about 2’ forward of the tailgate. Had plenty of length to reach all the way up front to the camper receptacle. 776107

It works, what more can one say. It is tough and will survive the towing environment. I wish it were a coil cord, but I found none available. I use velcro wraps to secure it to the towbar so it won't drag. 322778

As usual with E-Trailer, the connector cable that I needed arrived quickly and was the right part. When I had a question about my toad wiring, they responded with an answer and an instructional video which solved my problem. Their customer service is exceptional and I will continue to do business with E-Trailer.?? G. Rusk 2007 Fleetwood Terra LX 31-M. My toad will be a 2007 Dodge Dakota FWD. 308466

  • Recommended Motorhome 7-Way to Towed Vehicle 7-Way Tow Bar Wiring
For your 7-way to 7-way motorhome to towed vehicle, I recommend the Bargman 7-Way, RV-Style Connector w/ 8' Long Coiled Cable - Trailer End # 54006-044 along with the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End # PK12706. This will give you a 7-Way RV Blade to matching 7-Way with a coiled cable to keep it from dragging on the ground.

  • Troubleshooting Trailer 7-Way Plug that Wants to Disconnect from Vehicle Connector
The standard 7-way trailer connectors have always had the same diameter. There isn't a smaller diameter size that's out there that your trailer would have and be causing the problems you mentioned. Most likely your best solution is to replace the 7-way plug on your trailer like with the plug and lead part # 277-000143. Or for just the plug you could use the part # PK12706 and you'd be good.

  • What is Difference Between 7-Way Extensions # 50-67-210 and # TLW6510
The two harnesses you mentioned are made by two different companies who have just happen to price things differently. I wouldn't say there's a big quality difference between the # 50-67-210 and # TLW6510 but the # TLW6510 is two feet longer and has a female 7-way on one end and a male on the other. This is more to be used as an extension from a vehicle to a trailer whereas the # 50-67-210 has a male end on both sides. This type of extension is normally seen between a tow vehicle and vehicle...

  • 7-Way Male to 7-Way Male Adapter Recommendation that is 4 Feet Long
To make an adapter like you are looking for would require the part # H20043 which is a 7-way with 4 feet of wires that you could then wire to a 7-way male like part # A7WCB. I attached a chart that shows the wiring colors for the # H20043 plus a diagram for a typical 7-way to help you wire up the adapter.

  • Recommendation for 7-Way Tow Vehicle to 7-Way Trailer Extension Adapter
It sounds like you're looking for a wiring extension that features a 7-Way female (vehicle side) on one end and a trailer side 7-Way at the other end. Just let me know if this isn't correct. The closet option we have available to the Bargman # 50-67-210 you mentioned in terms of length is the TorkLift # TLW6060, which measures 68" from end to end. This will hook up to the trailer 7-Way at one end and to the tow vehicle's 7-Way at the other. I have attached a short video review that...

  • Replacement 7-Way Trailer Connector for a 1970 Airstream Trailer
Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 is an extension that would plug in between to vehicle end 7-Way connectors so it is likely not what you need to replace the 7-Way on your 1970 Airstream trailer. For a trailer side 7-Way with a short length of cable you can use # H20042. On it the wires have the following functions: White Wire = Ground Red Wire = Left Turn and Brake Brown Wire = Right Turn and Brake Green Wire = Tail Lights Blue Wire = Brake Power Black...

  • What Connectors Does the Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 Have
The Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 that you referenced has a male connector on either end of the harness. For a similar connector that has a male and a female end we have the Torklift part # TLW6510 instead as an option as well.

  • 7-Way Extension Recommendation for Towing Camper with Short 7-Way Harness
Since you have a 7-way trailer connector on both your tow vehicle and trailer the best solution will be the part # TLW6024. This is 24 inches long (shortest we offer) but more importantly it has the correct connector styles for attaching to both your vehicle and trailer. The kit you mentioned has plugs on both ends and you'll need a plug on one end and a socket on the other.

  • 7-Way to 7-Way Trailer Wiring Extender
The Bargman extension # 50-67-210 has trailer ends on both sides so it would not work. What you would need is an extension that has a trailer end on one side and a vehicle end on the other side such as # 20027. I have linked a video review of this part for you.

  • Availability of 7-Way to 7-Way Extension with Male Plugs On Both Ends
If you wanted a 7-way extension with a male side plug on both sides we have the Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector - Double-Ended - 8' Long # 50-67-210 which matches what you listed. It is 8 feet in overall length.

  • What Style of Connectors Does the Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 Fit
The Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 that you referenced uses a standard RV style 7-way flat connector on both ends. The socket it would fit would look like the part # PK11893. This style of 7-way is the kind that is very commonly seen at the rear of vehicles and RVs.

  • Parts Needed to Make 8 foot Long 7-Way Extension
The part # 50-67-210 really would be considered more of an "umbilical" adapter between two 7-way sockets like what are used in flat towing. What you are in need of is more of an extension which would have a plug on one end and a socket on the other. You could cut off one of the plugs and then wire the harness to the # HM48480 and have more of a traditional extension. Or wire the # HM48480 to the # A10-7W8 instead.

  • Why Do Some 7-way Plugs Use Dual Contact Surfaces
A 7-way (female) vehicle socket like # PK12-707E has a single blade contact; these fit in between the dual contact surfaces in a (male) trailer plug like # 54006-059, # 277-000143 or # A10-7W10 and the connector (type BB) shown in your photo. Some 7-way male plugs will use a single blade contact, such as the plug on Hopkins 7-way extension # HM20049. This item's female socket and male plug happen to both use the single contact. Both types are compatible with each other. The Bargman...

  • Connecting Ram with 7-Way Blade Connector to 5th Wheel Trailer with 7-Way Female Round Pin Connector
It looks like your Ram is equipped with a standard 7-Way female blade style connector but your trailer has a 7-Way round pin connector, specifically the female end which is usually on the tow vehicle side. Because of this unorthodox setup there isn't a single cable available that will connect the trailer to your Ram but we do have the pieces needed to do this. In order to connect your Ram to the trailer you can use a 7-Way loop like the Bargman # 50-67-210 and then an adapter like the...

Although we do not carry that exact cable, as you mentioned, the parts that you mentioned would be a great way to replace your cable. The Hopkins Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47425 would change the 7-Way round connection on your truck to a 7-Way blade style. You can then use the Bargman 7-Way Molded Trailer Wire Connector # 50-67-210 to connect the Hopkins adapter to your trailer.
