Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our high-performance brake wedge. Folks, this is rated at 1500 pounds of load capacity and it's gonna deliver full strength when the cable, which is sold separately, is on its first wrap of the drum. So basically, this is going to be able to hold a 1/4" max thickness of cable and it can store up to 70-feet length max on this 2 1/2"-wide drum. So make sure you're getting the right cable to fit your specific needs. And again, those are sold separately here at etrailer.
Now, this uses what's called an automatic-load holding brake. So this will securely lock the load in place after you stop cranking. It's not going to be able to spin backwards, and it's gonna prevent that rollback, giving you a lot safer operation than most winches out there. And what's neat is that it has an integrated disc in here, if you will, kinda like a brake pad, and that's gonna be helping to hold everything in place. It has a nice, durable, zinc finish on here and it's corrosion-resistant so you don't have to worry about rust, wear and tear, and those kind of things.
And as far as installing it, just as most winches have, you've got your elongated holes here and that's gonna mean you have room to slide this to match up your current installation pattern that you have on your winch plate or wherever you're installing this. Now, there's no bolts or hardware included. You would just reuse the old ones you have. Or you could pick up some new hardware locally if you so choose. And then on the side of the drum here, this is where your cable keeper is located to hold that cable in place, securely and everything.
So again, folks, this is the etrailer High-Performance Brake Winch. Has a nice comfortable groove candle here, and it's gonna give you nice space to be able to crank with ease. So it is a nice long handle, (winch cranking) and it's a smooth operation. And again, automatic brake. You're not gonna worry about the drum rolling back on you or anything once you've got that load on there.
