Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes
Diodes permit electrical current to flow in only one direction - from the motorhome to the car - preventing electrical feedback and the damage it can cause to the towed car's electrical components.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these Roadmaster Hy-Power Diodes. Now, diodes permit electrical current to flow in only one direction, from the motor home to the car. That's going to prevent electrical feedback and the damage it can cause to the towed car's electrical components. So you are going to get what you see here.
You're gonna get these two diodes. It's gonna help reduce wiring hassles. It's gonna be a trouble-free operation. It's going to include instructions. The maximum load is 85 amps per diode.
And just a brief note, four diodes are required for most applications. One left turn brake and one right turn brake, and then two for taillights, each side. So just so you are aware of that, again, you will get two, so if you need to get two more, make sure to adjust the quantity on this order. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. Product as advertised. Must wrap with tape and use dialectic grease to prevent failure of this part. Other then my haphazard initial wrapping, the product worked very well.
What's to say about diodes. They are doing the job as required by the design.

I haven't installed the product yet, but it was exactly what I needed. Diodes of this type are not the easiest thing to find. Etrailer had them, and not only is their website laid out well, but the service and shipping were very fast.
Bought these diodes formy license plate lights on my toad. The wiring kits only come with 4 diodes which would not allow the license plate lights to be light when towing.

Used on a trailer to add a strobe function on my existing trailer lights, and not backfeed to the truck. Has worked great for over a year now, in snow and rain it hasn’t failed.
I bought these diodes to replace two that the connectors corroded to the point the taillights on the towed vehicle wouldn’t work. The old ones lasted 6-7 years which is pretty good. When I hook up the new ones I’m going to put some waterproofing over the connectors.

I was looking at the video for a 2024 maverick and the 2025 wire colors are different, good idea to check before you cut
Can use these for allot more than just a towed vehicle. I used them for my loading lights on my trailer to help with backing the trailer at night. Just pulled reverse power wire from 7 pin to original cargo light wiring. Works great.
I purchase these to set up my toad (CR-V) with the Road master 7 to 6 wiring kit along with the 2 back into 3 wire module to allow for me the use the turn signal lights (Yellow) operate separately from the brake lights so that the toad lights all work as they were set up by the manufacturer. This way also allows you to avoid having to buy the brake light relay if your vehicle brake lights are energized by the mechanical function of your braking system. Your overall cost is relative and as stated all of your lights work instead of the typical stop/tail/turn signal bulb on each side.

Good product with excellent service! I can now use my reverse lights as work lights without back feeding my truck. Works great to correct those who have a have a habit of driving behind you with high beams on....
I was sold two extra diode because I was told they would be needed for the brake relay. As it turns out this is not the case and now I’m faced with having to return them and pay the postage.. You do not need extra diode for a brake relay off your using the RVI portable braking system. The diodes themselves that come with the wiring kit are sufficient, and there is nothing wrong with the diode set up at all for the rear lights. The three stars are because someone didn’t know what they were talking about and the inconvenience and cost of having to return them..
