The differences between the two custom wiring kits you mentioned is the vehicles they are designed to fit. However, neither of them fit your 2017 Ford Focus. Part # HM56200 fits a Jeep Wrangler JK from 2017 and 2018 and part # HM56007 fits a Focus but it's the sedan model from 2012 to 2014. These kits offer a simple plug-in installation behind the vehicle's tail lights. Unfortunately, this option isn't available for your 2017 hatchback.

Instead I recommend part # TR118821 that does work with your Focus. It doesn't plug in behind the tail lights but it does include the wire connectors to make the conenctions easy. You also end up with the same 4-way plug at the front of your vehicle to plug directly into your RV. I've linked a video of the kit being installed on a Grand Cherokee. It's a different vehicle but the process is universal.

What about with the separate lighting of the Focus?

In order to return the separate, or 3-wire, system on your Focus you can still use the # TR118821 but you also need to add a wiring converter, part # C56196, as well as 2 more diodes, part # RM-792. Check your owner's manual for your Focus. From my research you also need to disconnect the battery when flat towing. You can use the battery disconnect, part # RM-766, to make this easier.
